the world's imperfections
set my soul on fire
the crookedness in smiles
the freckles across collarbones
the scars on knees
from falls off the monkey bars
the extra squeaks in laughs
the beauty of
the quirks
the uniqueness
of every beingso why is it that
I adore the charm in
the diversity of
the living
except for
myself
why must I
fit into an
unrealistic
cookie cutter
when the rest
of the world
has beauty in flaws
