Just as Felix overcame his initial shock from Chan's words a loud horn interrupted the two, making Chan release his grip around Felix's wrists and move away from him.
"Get in the car." Felix uttered.
"No I'll wa-"
"Get in."
The car ride was tense to say the least- the two sat in the back of the five seated vehicle, with one of the redhead's guard separating them.
And it continued to strain until they arrived at Felix's apartment.
Before the car could even come to a complete stop, Felix had hopped out, eyeing Chan to make sure he followed right behind him.
They had a lot to talk about.
Chan eyed the interior of Felix's apartment- not much was different to the one in Australia, only rearranged furniture and purple hyacinths to replace the old ones. If Chan recalled correctly (which he did), the redhead would change the flowers in the vase every week, and they always had to be the purple flowers 'because they need to fit into my aesthetic.'
Chan knew that wasn't the case though.
"Take a seat. You want anything to drink?"
"The same as always," replied Chan, not expecting Felix to remember.
"So you really haven't changed at all," the redhead muttered to himself. "Here," Felix slid the beer can he grabbed from his fridge, across his coffee table.
Chan sat opposite to Felix who held a glass of red wine in his hand, legs crossed over as he eyed the brunette. "Is drinking another glass really the best idea? You can't hold your alcohol for shit."
Scoffing, Felix downed the entire glass, before sarcastically smiling at the other, "I'm gonna need it for the conversation we're about to have."
Chan didn't reply.
Was Felix always this gorgeous? Red suits him so well...
"-an? Chan? Christopher!"
"What?"
"Stop staring and answer me. Explain what you meant with what you said," muttered Felix, frustration clear in his voice.
"You're gonna have to be a bit more specific, doll."
"'I would have rather taken a bullet to the head than think about you fucking a stranger'." Felix's head was tilted, face contorted in emotions Chan couldn't discern.
"Isn't it pretty obvious?" Chan stalled, holding eye contact with Felix as he finished his beer in five swigs, wiping his chin with the back of his hand.
"I'd rather you tell me before I jump to conclusions."
"And if your conclusions are right?"
"Christopher. Just tell me. Or I won't hesitate to punch you in the face again," Felix spoke in irritation.
Hes still so cute.
"It means," he paused, unsure of how to pour his feelings out without tearing down the walls he spent years building.
"...I cared for you. It means I loved you. It means I was willing to take a fucking bullet for you, as long as you stayed with me."
The brunette spoke with so much conviction, so much lost anger and chaos. Felix couldn't help but recoil in his seat, incapable of keeping eye contact with Chan who reflected nothing but heartbreak and so much rage.
