They all sat in the lab as Tony worked on creating their own gauntlet. Steve stood behind Tony watching his every move while Aurora sat huddled up next to Nat on a small sofa while Bruce checked them over for injuries. Rocket, Scott and Clint were trying to help ween Thor of the alcohol and make sure he was okay after his traumatic trip back to Asgard.
Rhodey was watching Tony fiddle around from afar while keeping an eye on a very strange acting Nebula who seemed to not be herself and who was giving him a strange feeling like something wasn't quite how it should be.
"Bruce I'm fine," Nat insisted "If anything I'm just in shock,"
"Shock can be a dangerous thing Nat, and there could be something there- like an internal injury," Bruce informed her "Please just let me give you an x-ray."
"No. I'm fine honestly," Nat said back to him.
Bruce nodded and moved over to Aurora who had a frown plastered on her face "Aurora your turn," he spoke softly.
Aurora sat up and looked at the man "I feel fine physically but I don't know, I feel kinda weird like somethings missing or something," she told him.
Bruce looked at her and Nat with concern "What do you mean?"
"I don't know it feels like a bit of me is missing or I don't know it's probably silly," Aurora winced and put her hand on her forehead "Ouch,"
Nat looked at Bruce "Bruce what is wrong with her?"
"I don't know," he admitted.
Aurora winced again "I keep seeing that planet, rock thing,"
"What do you mean?" Bruce and Nat both asked in unison.
"I mean I keep seeing flashes of it- like I keep seeing the drop off point and the mountain itself," she said nervously.
Steve and Tony looked over at the three huddled over by the medic station.
"What's going on?" Tony asked inquisitively.
"Nothing!" Aurora blurted out before anyone else had time to respond "Bruce was just asking what the place looked like,"
Tony looked at Bruce and he nodded "Yeah, I was.. um.. interested," Bruce smiled unconvincingly.
Tony and Steve both turned back to the gauntlet.
"Can you describe it some more?" Bruce asked.
"I don't really know how to explain it, it's like when I see it I get this weird sensation," Aurora whispered quietly.
Bruce scribbled something down in his notepad "Mhmm."
They all sat in silence for a bit while Bruce studied his notes.
After a while Bruce spoke up "I think- well it's what makes most sense is that, basically when you jumped off a part of your soul latched onto Vormir. I think it did that because you sacrificed yourself willingly knowing the stone wasn't there and for someone you care deeply about. So I think when you 'died' a bit of your soul attached to vormir because your already technically connected to it." he explained to her.
"I don't get it," Aurora said.
"Well basically because of your powers being like soul or something when you willingly sacrificed yourself to swap with Nat and you died, for you to live part of your soul latched onto the planet because of that connection you have. Which let you live," Bruce told her.
Aurora nodded "So basically my soul or whatever belongs to that planet?"
Bruce nodded "That's what I think happened,"
