Thanos studied the gauntlet with curiosity turning his hand around admiring the stones. Suddenly a bolt of lightening striked down from the sky striking him. Thor appeared his eyes glowing with power and anger. He raised Stormbreaker above his head and hurled it towards the titan. Thanos fired the power of the gauntlet at the axe trying to slow it down but failed.

Thor landed in front of a kneeling down Thanos "I told you. You'd die for that." Thor said. Thanos immediately knew he was talking about his brother and the noble guard.

Thor grabbed the back of Thanos's head and thrusted Stormbreaker deep into his chest. Thor stared angrily into Thanos's eyes as the titan cried out it pain.

Thanos looked at Thor in the eyes at said weakly "You...should..have...gone...for....the....head!" Thanos raised the gauntlet and snapped his fingers.

"NO! WHAT DID YOU DO?" Thor yelled.

Thanos used the Space stone ignoring the god and wandered into a portal away from the battlefield.

Aurora sat up wearily clutching her thigh, blood pouring out of the wound "Where did he go? Thor where did he go?"

"Steve?" Bucky dropped his gun and stumbled over to Steve slowly collapsing into ash on the floor. Steve walked over to Bucky's ashes and touched the ground.

"WANDA....WANDA!" Aurora got up and limped over to the girl. "Hey..hey it's okay....look at me."Aurora said reaching out to Wanda.

Wanda looked at Aurora "I love you." Wanda turned to ashes right in front of Aurora.

"NO...NO NO NO NO....WANDA" Aurora collapsed to the ground shaking "WANDA!" Tears streamed down her face, her body shaking uncontrollably. Nat ran over to the girl, she dropped down next to Aurora and held onto her.

"I-I......I didn't get.. to say I love you," Aurora said wearily in between shaky, shallow breaths before passing out in Nat's arms.

Nat looked over the battlefield to see her friends and family disappear before her. Sam, T'Challa and Groot all turned to ash.

Steve and Rhodey ran over to Nat who was still clutching Aurora. "Is she.." Steve asked.

"No I think she is just exhausted mentally," She said stroking the girls head.

"What about Wanda?" Rhodey asked.

"She's gone," Nat muttered "Vision is over there by the way, and I don't think he's coming back Steve."

Rocket ran over to the group "He did it, that bastard did it."

Aurora sat in the hospital bed staring at the wall. There were deep bags under her eyes and her skin was pale. Nat sat next to the girl's bed "Aurora are you listening?" Nat paused and put her hand on Auroras "Do you know what happened?"

Aurora turned to look at her friend "Yeah, my girlfriend is dead and I passed out from blood loss."

"Blood loss and exhaustion, yeah," Nat sighed "Bruce will be here in a bit to check on you, but I think you should sleep for now." Nat stood up and walked towards the door "We will get them back Rory, I promise you." She looked back to see Aurora was already asleep.

Steve stood in the kitchen of the compound "How is she?" he asked, taking a sip of his coffee. "She awake, that's a start." Nat said sitting down next to the kitchen island "Anymore news on Tony?"

"No, nothing." Steve said sighing.

"What about the blipped?" Nat asked.

"Nothing."

The pair sat in silence, Steve stroked his beard and Nat stared at the wall. Rhodey and Bruce walked in and sat down next to the pair.

"I thought I would just let Aurora sleep before I check her up," Bruce said grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl.

"Yeah she's pretty exhausted," Nat replied "It's funny, for someone who has been asleep for a 2 weeks she's pretty sleepy,".

"Yeah," Rhodey laughed "It's pretty ironic."

Aurora walked into her bedroom and sat on the floor,  she sighed. Her face was dry and salty from the dried up tears. 20 days ago she lost her soulmate, 20 days and it felt like eternity for her. Aurora leaned back and lay on the floor.

numb.

that was all she felt. She didn't know what to do, her world had been taken away from her, swept from right under her feet. She wasn't angry, she wasn't sad. She was just numb.

"You know there's this thing called a bed, you can sleep on it, and relax on it... and do other things on it," Nat walked into the bedroom and sat on the bed "Hey look you can sit on it too," she joked and patted the space next to her. "Come sit."

Aurora reluctantly got up and sat next to Nat.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Nat asked the girl giving her a hug. Aurora shook her head and leaned into the hug "I think I just need to lay here and do nothing but think and battle with my thoughts."

"Okay then but make sure you are eating something Rory," Nat said.

"I thought you and Wanda had a no grieving deal?" Steve asked Aurora as he stood next to the door.

"I'm not grieving, I'm just..um..." Aurora said sheepishly.

"Grieving?" Steve suggested.

"Yeah?" she laughed lightly. "I'm grieving."
