In the evening
As Taehyung was brushing his hair, he heard the door knock. He put the brush back on the vanity and paced towards the door. Opening the door, he saw Jungkook standing in front of him with a flower in his hand.
Jungkook's breath caught in his chest as he saw Taehyung looking so cute and beautiful in all white, his black hair styled neatly with a few strands falling on his forehead. He was so beautiful that Jungkook stood there staring at Taehyung, momentarily forgetting about the flower in his hand.
Seeing Jungkook staring at him, Taehyung cleared his throat. "My prince, is everything okay?" Hearing this, Jungkook snapped out of his trance and chuckled nervously. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. You look so beautiful that I couldn't resist myself... my apologies." Jungkook bowed his head and looked up to find Taehyung smiling at him.
They both stood there staring at each other until Jungkook spoke. "Oh, I almost forgot, this is for you." Saying this, Jungkook handed the rose to Taehyung gently. Taehyung sniffed the rose with a smile and thanked the prince.
"So, are you ready?" Jungkook asked, a soft smile lingering on his lips. Taehyung nodded and closed the door behind him after setting the rose in a jar.
They both walked out of the palace gate quietly. Jungkook helped Taehyung onto the horse and got on after, his eyes scanning the surroundings to ensure no one was following them. With a gentle pull of the reins, the horse began to walk towards the village.
As they rode through the quiet streets, Jungkook stole glances at Taehyung, who seemed lost in thought. "You know," Jungkook began, breaking the silence, "I've always loved coming to the village. It feels so... free."
Taehyung looked at him, eyes sparkling. " It's peaceful here, away from all the palace's strictness."
They didn't talk the whole ride, just feeling each other's heartbeat, which made both of them feel calm and warm on the chilly night. On the way to the hills, Jungkook bought some cream buns for their date from the village market.
As they approached a more secluded path, Jungkook broke the silence, his voice soft and a bit nervous. "Taehyung, the place I'm taking you today is a surprise, okay? So, I want you to wear this until we reach there." He pulled out a piece of black silk cloth from his pocket, biting his lip nervously.Taehyung's eyes widened in curiosity. He touched the cloth first, feeling its smooth texture, and then looked at Jungkook. Seeing the sincerity in Jungkook's eyes, he nodded his head, trusting him completely.
Jungkook gently tied the silk cloth over Taehyung's eyes, his fingers brushing lightly against Taehyung's soft skin. The simple touch sent a shiver down Jungkook's spine, and he couldn't help but smile. "Can you see anything?" he whispered, his breath warm against Taehyung's ear.
"No, my prince," Taehyung replied softly, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Good," Jungkook said, his voice filled with excitement and a hint of tenderness. "Hold on tight."
The horse resumed its gentle trot, the rhythmic motion lulling them into a comfortable silence. Jungkook's heart swelled with affection as he glanced at Taehyung, who was now leaning slightly against him, trusting him completely.
After a while, they reached a clearing at the top of the hill. Jungkook carefully dismounted and helped Taehyung down, guiding him to a spot he had prepared earlier.
