"Zen! Go back here! Granpa will be mad at you again!" [Name] yelled as I looked down and saw her below the tree where I climbed up. "No! I don't wanna die yet!" I yelled while hugging the tree where I climbed.

"Ne, [Name]. Come play with us, don't waste your time in that stupid coward," a kid next to our house said and I feel sad about it. They might be right, I'm stupid and also,  a coward. 'Just go with them already, I know you're sick of me' I thought.

"I'm sorry, I can't play and leave Zen up in that tree. If I want to play, I'll be playing with you guys with Zenitsu." she  answered and made the other boys look at me pissed.

It's because, [Name] is so cute and everyone loved her. She's polite, and has a good character that's why everyone was wondering why she's spending her time with a boy like  me.

Days came by and I was building up my courage and everything but it began to crumble when the boys came and beat the hell out of me. "Stop!" someone yelled as they stopped and saw who yelled and the figure of [Name] revealed.

"It's his fault for taking you away," the leader of the five boys said. "Zen didn't steal anything and I am not yours to begin with!" she reasoned and helped me up but she was pulled by the leader named Yuno. "Just stay with us." he insisted.

"I don't like people beating someone who didn't even do to offend them. Is Zen being with me enough for that? This is my life and I can decide for myself." she said and pulled me up and ran.

She treated my wound and was about to leave when I held her hand, "Please, stay." I said and she just smiled.

"Hey, Zen. We're moving." she said.

"But I want to have a promise with you." she said.

"When we grow up, I'll be your wife and you'll be my husband." she said and I nod as we promised it to each other.

After she moved out, I went to train to become stronger and years past. I forgot about those little promises and I bet she  forgot about that too.

Present Time;
"Please marry me!" I yelled to the  lady in a bakery shop and she freaked out. "Zenitsu! Stop that already!" Tanjiro said as he pulled me away from the lady and went back to our seats.

"Hey, Gonpachiro. That hooded person over there, he's like following us." Inosuke pointed out. "I saw that person in some villages where we're conducting missions. But he doesn't smell that he'll do something bad." Tanjiro said.

"Check," the hooded person said and took his leave. Inosuke then stood up and went out. Tanjiro and I looked at one another, guessing that he'll follow the hooded person.

The person was walking in an alley and we were about to follow him when we saw him standing in the dead end. "Stop following me already," he said which is ...

"A GIRL?!" the three of us exclaimed. "If you wanna ask why I was following you, I've got 3 reasons." she said.

"First, I am a tsugoku of Mitsuri Kanroji. Second,  I was tasked to do your reports instead of the three of you doing it and lastly I'm finding someone and it turns out that he's with you." she said.

"The three of us?" I asked and I heard her heart skip a beat. I heard her sigh. "But I think he already forgot about our promises when we were kids since he went all around the towns declaring love from girl to another girl. Then, see  you guys." she said as she  left.

"It must be you, Zenitsu." Tanjiro said. "Do you remember someone in your childhood?" he asks and I think. "[Name]. I remember that we-," I stopped and cursed. "We promised that we'll marry one day." I said and they facepalm.

We went back to the Butterfly Estate and saw Shinobu-san with Mitsuri-san and the hooded girl. "[Name]-"  before I could even tell her name fully. She's nowhere to be seen.

"Aw, what did you do to [Name]?" Mitsuri-san asked and I explained to them so no misunderstanding could happen. "So mean, Zenitsu-kun. If you promised, you should keep it. You must've hurt her feelings." Mitsuri-san said.

"Poor [Name], all this years she's been sold out here and there. She didn't even forget about you." Mitsuri-san said and I looked at her. "Sold?" Tanjiro ask.

"[Name] was sold to fight for a deadly battles for money. Her auntie did that because her family was attacked by the demon. Until, I saw her being tied up and beaten up so I decided to take her in as a tsugoku." Mitsuri-san said.

"Please, help me Mitsuri-san!" I begged and she smiled. "During the afternoon, she's always at the dojo. You can go there and talk to her privately." Shinobu-san said and I thanked them.

As the afternoon came, I saw [Name] inside the dojo still in her hood. "[Name]-chan" I called and I saw her shrivelled and still manage to look at me. She accidentally dropped her wooden sword and was about to run when I held her hand.

"I-I'm sorry" I said as the wind blew her hood and revealed her [eye color] eyes and [hair color] hair and the scar near her ear. "I'm sorry for forgetting about it, I thought that you forgot it already." I said and I received a bonk.

"I said it was a little promise but I didn't say that I'll forget it!" she said in a teary  eye and then she hugged me, "But I'm glad, even though you have forgotten about the promise. I'm happy to see you again." She said.

"But I'll keep the promise, I swear that I'll be your husband in the future." I said and she smiled

"I'm home" I said as I saw [Name] sleeping at the table with all of her paperworks. I kissed her on her forehead and she moved a little. "Uh- Welco-Ahh-me home" she said yawning. "Let's go? I'm kinda full right now." I ask and she nods.

"Where's the twin?" I asked and she giggled. "They're so hyper that's why they slept early." she said as she was fixing the table.

We entered our room after that and lay on the bed, "Night." she said as she fell in a deep sleep. "Night " I said as kissed her forehead and also slept.
