[025] Rui

"Please!" I begged when the villager cornered me in a dead end. "You killed our sheep and other animals!" they yelled. "I only do that so that I can't make myself eat humans!" I reasoned but they didn't listen.

They always think that every demon like me was bad, but they were wrong. I just wanted to live like others do, I didn't wish to be born as one of them. I always had to stop myself from eating humans and eat their cattle instead.

"Kill her!" the village chief said as I closed my eyes and when they were about to kill me when I felt a great wind. I saw someone wearing white hair and red dots on his face. The 5th Lower Moon Kizuki, Rui.

He took me away from the villagers as he brought me to his house and met his so-called 'family,' many of them tried to escape and invited me a lot of times but I always turn them down in a most polite way. I will not talk to anyone as long as Rui told me to.

"Rui, wanna have a walk tonight?" I asked as he nodded and I laid my hand as he received it. "Your hand's cold [Name]" he mentioned. "And yours were hot, but don't worry, an older sister needs to protect and make her brother feel warm, right?" I said and smiled at him.

"When you're sick of me, will you leave me as well?" he asked as I tightened my hold to his hands and stopped. "Rui, I can't and will not. They may call this a family game but I don't. I'm taking this seriously. You saved me once and it's enough for me to not leave you behind," I spoke and he gritted his teeth.

"But I don't see you as a sister!" he said which makes me look at him. "W-what do y-you mean?" I ask. "I want you to be mine and can't be touched by anyone. I don't want you to be  my sister because it's forbidden to love a family member!" he reasoned.

My eyes widened but then smiled, as I hugged him and he hugged back. "I'll be your girlfriend from now on then" I said as I pecked his cheeks and grabbed his hand as we continued our late night stroll.

We told them what we are now and everyone was shocked obviously but because Rui was the one who said it, they agreed.

"Rui, look, shooting stars!" I said as I pointed up a shooting star that can be seen in the sky.

"[Name]" he called as he seats up as I looked at him, "Yes, Rui?" I asked and smiled at him. "Are they talking about our relationship?" he asks.

"Sometimes, they always say that how I did that or what's my reason behind it," I said. "What's the reason?" he asks as I sit up and take his hand and put it in my cheeks. "I did it because I love you and the reason behind it was love. Please don't doubt my feelings for you. Because no matter what happens, I'll go with you as long as you want me to tag along. Even in death and afterlife I will always be there." I said and he smiled.

"I never had a family so this would be my first one, and the first rule to be applied would be love. I love everyone but I love you the most," I added.

"I love you too [Name]" he said as he rushed a kiss on my lips.
