As they walk back to Ray's house it started to down pour so for a sec they get ready under a tree to make a run for it as they talk a bit Ray says something

"You know I haven't been to the orphanage since you left."

"Why is that?"

"It made me depressed to not see you there, so I stopped going."

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that, but atleast I'm here now!"

"Yeah" He replies giving a warm smile and Emma gives him a smile back

"You ready to make the run for it?"

"Yeah, let's go!"

They start running to Ray's house, and mid way through Emma jumps on Ray's back again cause why not have a free ride.

"Again" he gives the side eye at her and chuckles

"Yep!" She replies giving a wide grin

While Emma is on his back she starts to drift off to sleep. Ray relises so he tries to be swift, but also trying not to wake her. At this time they are both drenched with rain water.

He is able to feel her breath on his neck and it's making him crazy. Then Emma moves her head right in the crevas between his neck and shoulder. Ray isn't usually one to do this kind of stuff mainly because he is touched deprived but with Emma it's ok.

He enjoys the warmth from her.

They arrive at Ray's house and he walks in the door with Emma still asleep.

"Hey-"

"Shh she is sleeping."

"Ok, ok."

He walks up to his room and lays Emma down so she can sleep peacefully. He places a blanket over her too so she doesn't get a cold.

Ray proceeds to sit towards the end of the bed and quietly play some Mario till she wakes up.

A few hours later...

Emma flutters her eyes open and sees Ray playing a game. She decides to scare him.

She slowly gets up and tackles Ray.

"HOLY MOLY EMMA don't do that."

"Well I did do that" she replies laughing

"Well since your now up want to play?"

"Sure!"

They play some super Mario bros for a bit and go downstairs to get some dinner.

"Let's go grab some dinner"

"Sure!"

they head to the bathroom to wash up first

"Thank you for letting me stay here Ray"

"Its no problem really"

she gives Ray a hug from behind, and Ray starts to feel his face heat up. After that they finish washing up and head downstairs to eat something.

"perfect timing kids food just got done"

"Ahhh Thank you Auntie Isabella!"

"Thanks Mom"

They eat their meal and they enjoyed it and decide to get some more things over to the orphanage

"Alright we are heading out!"

"See you guys later, be safe"

They start walking to Emma's place to get more things, and eventually they arrive. Emma has to go through the front door to get to the window cause it happened to be locked.

She unlocks the door and walks inside to her father standing right in the doorway

"DANG IT"

"Hehe Hi" she ducks in a nervously way

"WHERE WERE YOU?"

"I- um-"

Before she really gets a chance to speak her father grips her hair and starts pulling on it

"OW stop please!"

Ray hears this and realizes it's Emma's voice so he rushes over and sees this happening. He runs up and socks her father in the face

"Let go OF HER" he grunts

"WHO are you?!" He says while reaching behind him there was a knife.

"Your dead kid" he gives a death stare

Her father tries to stab Ray in the abdomen. Emma being really athletic runs in front of him and stops right before it reaches him. But it ended up going through her abdomen instead

"Emma! Are you ok?!" He says very worryingly

"Yeah, I'm good"

Ray punches him again, hard enough for them to escape. They start running, as far as they possibly can.

Suddenly...

Emma faints...

She is loosing to much blood from the wound...

Ray turns back to see her father and Emma. He picks Emma up, takes out his phone to call Isabella and starts running again in on swift movement.

He calls his mother and she thankfully picks up.

"Hey Ray what's up?"

"Mom help Emma's father is chasing us down, and I currently have Emma in my arms because she fainted from her wound!"

"Listen carefully, try to loose her father and once you have get home asap there will be an ambulance waiting for her!"

"Got it, thanks"

Isabella is so worried about her son, and Emma that is pacing back and fourth while on the phone with 911

Eventually Ray looses him and starts running home, he finnally makes it home with his mother outside.

"Mom!"

"Get in the ambulance with her we will meet you at the hospital"

Ray sets Emma down on the stretcher and the entire way there he is holding her hand and thinking to himself "please be ok I need you I can't live without you, live please!"

They arrive at the hospital, but he has to wait outside he is pacing back and fourth with tears in his eyes til they finnally got done and let him in the room

He rushes to her side, she is sleeping. He holds her hand and sits next to her. He is griping her hand ever so tightly.

"Emma you've gotta wake up"

"Please!"

Ray is crying and waiting for hours. Eventually he falls asleep, his head practically laying on her lap.

I'm so sorry this took so long and I know it's short there has just been stuff going on and what not I do hope you guys understand.
