Emma wakes up seeing that she is curled up right next to Ray she feels her face get hot why is Ray up here oh yeah that's right I was scared of the nightmare I had

She hears a slight mumble from Ray

"Em-ma" then he grabs her arm and yankes her back

"Jeez Ray ok I was going to get stuff set up for you but what ever I guess I lay here" she says feeling her face heat up more as she starts to carress his hair and she sees a very tiny smirk on Rays face

He squeezes Emma tightly then he woke up seeing Emma wide awake and he feels her hand rubbing his hair He feels his face heat up, a lot

"Good morning Ray Of Sunshine"

"Morning Carrottop"

"How'd you sleep, sleepy cyclops" she says giggling

"Pretty good how about you Fanta"

"It was good, thanks Ray"

They look at each hother in scilence for a couple of minutes and they both feel their faces heat up, Ray stands to get ready for his day

This is when Emma realized how tall Ray is compared to herself

"Ray how tall are you"

"Around 6'2 last time I checked, how tall are you shortie"

"I'm not that short!"

"Last time I checked I was 5'4" she mumbles

"Dude you are short I'm 10 inches taller than you"

"No, you are just abnormally tall that's all!" She gives a pouty face

"It's ok though you'll just be short the rest of your life" he pats her head

They both get done with getting ready for the morning it's Saturday so they don't have school. They head to the icecream shop since they are doing that everyday now.

"What flavor are you going to guess today"

"You'll see"

*they arrive at the icecream shop*

"Hey hey again what can I get you two lovebirds"

Ray and Emma blush an extreme amount

They both look at him and say "No No what we are just friends!!"

"Mhm"

"So what's it gonna be today"

"We will get 2 cottencandy icecreams with rainbow sprinkles"

"Ah so that's your guess today, well your wrong"

"Maaannn" sha says going to give the worker the money for the icecream

"I got it this time Fanta" he says and winks giving to worker some money to pay for the order

"Thanks Ray" she says giving a big genuine smile

Ah there's my happy little idiot Ray thinks as he smiles

The man gives them the 2 icecreams and they sit on the swings at the park right across the street like always

"Thank you Ray you are amazing" she smiles at him

"Yeah no problem" he looks down and starts to blush

They finish their icecream and head back to Emma's place to chill for the rest of the day

On the way back they are walking across a cross walk and this drunk driver almost hits Emma, but Ray pulls her arm and hugs her close to keep her out of harms way

"You ok Emma?!"

"Yeah thank you Ray"

He puts his arm around her shoulder so he knows she does not get hurt while they are walking back towards Emma's house

They arrive at Emma's house...

"Meet you at the window Fanta"

"Ok Ray Of Sunshine"

She walks in the door and sees her adoptive father crap he is awake her father stands and slaps her in the face for no reason again and he digs his nails into her skin once again drawing blood ugh wonderful

She goes to her room and opens the window for Ray, Ray notices the slap mark on her face He hurt her again I want to beat his ass so bad but I need to keep my cool

"Looks like he hit you again let's take care of that ok" he says getting his first aid kit put and patting the seat next to him

Although Emma doesn't sit where Ray pats instead she puts her head on his shoulder, they both blush

"Why couldn't I have had a normal family Ray"

"I know I know it's ok you will be out of this soon I will try my best to get you outta here"

Ray hears a very small sob and realizes she is crying, Ray caresses her hair and huggs her to calm her down. Her hair is so soft I just wanna do this all day he feels his face get warm

"Alright let me take care of this cut ok"

"Yeah"

He uses some rubbing achohal to make sure it doesn't get infected then he grabs a band aid to put over the cut, he places the band aid

"There you go"

"Thank you Ray"

He smiles at her

"It's no problem really"

They chillax watching tiktok on Rays phone apparently someone had recorded Emma doing the backflip while kicking the soccer ball into the net and posted it on tiktok

"That looks really cool from this angle"

"Yeah it was pretty cool have to admit it to you Emma" he smirks at her

Ray thought it was cool she smiles to herself and blushes and looks back at his phone and they keep scrolling through tiktok Ray then gets a snapchat message it's some random girl at their school

Ray

Well I don't like you i like someone else so... rejected 💁

Emma sees the message he likes someone else who I wonder. I probably have no chance anyways all the other girls in school are pretty and I'm not...

I hope that Emma likes me back. I will tell her how I feel someday

They look at the clock and see it 7 p.m. already so they decide to get ready for bed they brush their teeth and start heading to bed it is now 7:30 p.m. they climb into bed and then they hear a click

The door nob turns the one on Emma's door to be exact...
