Beautiful Mistakes || Luca x Alberto <3

On the Way to Massimo's

"Hey," Giulia placed her hand on Luca's shoulder. "It's ok, we'll just meet him at Papa's place!" Luca nodded, keeping his smile.

But then in a split second, he yelped as he felt a force behind him, knocking him to the ground. Luca sat up, groaning and coughing out dirt. Then he saw him.

"LUCA!" Alberto was on top of him, smiling with joy. It was the happiest smile Luca had ever seen. He was so focused on Al's face that he didn't even notice for a few seconds that Alberto was in his sea monster form. He must've just gotten out of the water.

Al spoke again, "LUCA! YOU'RE BACK! I MISSED YOU, DUDE!"

Luca teared up after hearing his friend's voice again. He hugged him tightly, Al hugged back, both laughing uncontrollably. Looks like Giulia was right about him jumping me... Luca thought and laughed to himself.

As they both started to get up, they noticed Giulia running over to them, laughing too. "Alberto, you're so crazy! We thought you ditched us!"

Alberto chuckled, "Well, I kinda did, so I could do a surprise-jump on Luca! You should've seen his face! He was so shocked! Haha!"

"You're lucky I wasn't so shocked that I punched you," Luca giggled.

Alberto playfully pushed him, "Ah, even if you tried, it wouldn't hurt. Ya got squishy hands."

The three of them laughed, Luca blushing a little. Giulia wrapped her arms around both of them, "Ok, guys, let's go get our stuff. There's so much we're gonna do today!"

"Race ya." After drying off, Al sped towards their luggage to help them carry it.

"Hey Al, why wasn't Papa at the train station when we arrived?" asked Giulia, as the three of them were walking down the street to Massimo's house.

Alberto replied, "Oh, he went to go shopping for more food for dinner. And he's getting food for the cats, since we have so many now."

Luca looked at him, "You never gave them away?"

Al laughed nervously, "I couldn't, they're so darn cute. And I didn't wanna upset the Mama."

"They don't...cause any destruction in the house, right?" Giulia questioned hesitantly.

Al shakes his head. "Nope. They spend most of their time outside now, they'd grown enough. We might start giving them away though, soon. You want one?"

"No thanks, heheh. We already got a crazy dog running around at my Ma's place," said Giulia.

Alberto turns to Luca, "What about you, Luca?"

"Hm, I'll think about it," Luca answered.

"I know I'm keeping one of them, though," Al laughs. "He's my favorite, because he's got a little brown hair-swirl on the top of his head. I named him Luke, because he reminded me of you, Luca."

"Aw! That's adorable!" Giulia gushes, sparkles glimmering in her eyes. Luca hid his face as it went red. "Oh, wow! Can't wait to see him!"

"So how have you guys been? Did ya get bored of school yet?" Alberto asked sarcastically.

Luca laughed, "Definitely not. While there were some bothersome people, everything else was great!"

Giulia added, "Yeah! And Luca's literally famous there! Almost EVERYONE is fascinated by his sea monster form! We even told them about you, and they were so interested! We were like super-stars there!"

Al smirked, "Really, now? Wow, I wasn't even there, and somehow I became famous too. Didn't you guys make some friends there, too?"

Luca quickly replied, "Yeah! They're so cool! One of them is this girl named Sofia, and she's been studying on sea folk since the second grade! Isn't that amazing? She was so interested in learning more about creatures like us, she even said we were the most beautiful creatures in the sea."

Alberto raised an eyebrow, "Well, she's not wrong. I mean, have you seen my form? People can't stop staring at me! I'm just that gorgeous."

"You both are," Giulia laughed. "And because of you two, most people are more open-minded now. It must be nice to feel safe!"

Luca nodded, "Yeah, but you helped us. I don't think we would've gotten to where we're at right now if we didn't have you. So thanks for that, heh."

"Well you guys seemed to have really pulled it off this year," Al tells them. He then looks at Luca, "So...is Sofia pretty?"

Luca stopped as he let out another nervous laugh. "W-what? No! I mean- well, yes, but we're only friends-AAAAAAH!"

As Machiavelli popped up from behind a house and started walking towards them, Luca sprung up in fear and held onto Alberto for dear life. "DEMONE!"

There was nothing but silence between everyone, until Giulia burst out laughing. "Luca! Clam down! It's only Machiavelli! He's not even doing anything, he's just staring at us! Ahaha!"

"Uh...Oh..." Luca muttered, blushing a little. But Alberto was more of a blushing mess than he was, he couldn't even speak. He just stayed still as Luca clung onto him.

Luca knew it was the cat, he instantly recognized him. But he was still a little afraid of him, after their last encounter.

When Giulia caught her breath, she grabbed her things again. "Ok, that was funny, but we still gotta put our stuff up. C'mon, guys!"

Luca hopped off of Al and got his stuff. When he noticed that Alberto was still frozen, he took his wrist and pulled him along with him.
