The five teens decided to stay in the cave for a while longer, until they felt that they were safe to leave. For an hour, they sat together talking, messing around, laughing. Even after what happened between them and Ercole, they still got along well as a group. Even after a dark time in their lives, they were able to lighten the mood again. At this moment, they were asking Alberto how it felt when punching Ercole in the face. (Lucky, I bet it felt great)

"Dude, it felt amazing," Al replied, then added, "I've had to put up with that idiot all year long, he deserved it."

"I wish I could've done that, but I have stick arms," laughed Giulia, as she held her arms out and wiggled them like noodles.

Wrapping her arms around Giulia's neck, Sofia replied, "Hey, your arms are amazing! Even if they're stick arms! You're still strong, in my eyes!"

"Cute," Riccardo grinned, Sofia playfully pushed him.

Looking at Alberto, Luca said, "I don't usually like seeing violence, but I respect you for what you did, Alberto. I think we were all tempted to throw hands at Ercole, heheh. But uh...don't you think he'd get you into trouble for that? What if Massimo finds out and grounds you, or something? Or what if...Ercole and his friends try to get closer to us...and hurt us?"

Alberto scoffed. "We'll handle them, don't worry. And I doubt Massimo would get angry at me for doing the right thing. I'd gladly punch that jerk again, but harder next time. He was going to hurt you, what else was I supposed to do? What, did you WANNA get your bones broken?"

Luca flinched as he said that. Feeling hurt, he turned away from him, fiddling with his hands. "N-no, of course not! I just...don't want you to get in trouble, that's all..."

Al rolled his eyes and looked away, leaning against the wall of the cave. He felt annoyed at Luca's sympathy for him. Why does he have to act worried for me? Just cut the act, Luca, will ya?

Everyone jumped up, startled, as Sofia gasped loudly. "Oh. My. Gosh. I just remembered a time when I was trying to fold clothes, and then my dog burst through the door and JUMPED me! She kept grabbing my Mom's sweater and tried dragging it away, but I took hold of the other sleeve and tried yanking it from her. We then had a tug-of-war with the clothes until she RIPPED the sweater! There was drool all over it, it was so gross! It was my Mom's favorite, too! Luckily, I was able to sow it back together before she got home from work. She never found out, heehee."

Giulia covered her mouth, giggling. "Oh man, I remember you telling us about that! Dogs are so crazy, I swear. I remember a time when Luca woke up to our dog laying on his face, asleep. I have never heard him scream so loudly before in my LIFE! I even took a picture of them while they were still sleeping, I gotta show you guys, some time."

Luca blushed and covered his face. "Oh sharks, you'll never let that go, will ya? Oh, you remember when he took a big dump in the neighbor's yard because she wouldn't give him back his frisbee?"

Giulia laughed, "YES, I DO REMEMBER THAT! The neighbor screamed at us for nearly an hour! Then my Mom chased her away with a fly swatter! And we gave him lots of treats after that."

"I love how we're just suddenly talking about our pets now," Sofia said to them. She looked over at Alberto, "Hey, Al. Tell us more about Luke! I bet he's not really the angel we see him as!"

Al smirked, chuckling. "Oh, definitely not. You don't even know how many times he gave me fleas just by sitting or sleeping on my hair. It was a nightmare. Even when I try covering it up, he still tries his hardest to cuddle up in it. I mean, I know I have amazing hair and all, but come on! I'm tired of finding cat hair and fleas whenever I'm in the shower!"
