The group had hung out for the entire day, horsing around, playing tag and tackling each other in the grass. They also ate lunch together, and raced around the village. It was the most fun they'd had since Luca and Giulia arrived back. Riccardo even accepted their request of letting him join the underdogs.

When Riccardo had to go home, the other three friends left too and decided to go home to have dinner. After saying their goodbyes, they parted ways.

On the way home, Alberto was carrying Luca on his back. They all laughed as they pushed each other around on the pavement.

"I knew you guys would like Riccardo! I just knew it! He's the perfect fit for this group!" Giuila giggled as she walked beside Alberto.

Al covered his mouth as he cackled loudly. "Dude! That guy is NUTS! He literally climbed up a tree and jumped all the way down into the OCEAN! THE FRICKIN OCEAN!"

Laughing along with him, Luca added, "Yeah! And you even jumped down after him because you thought he was gonna drown! And then when he was ok, you got mad! You guys took off your shirts and just kept slapping each other with them! Man, that was hilarious."

"I love you guys," Giulia sighed, wiping her eyes.

After they had calmed down, Alberto looked at Giulia. "Hey, thanks for introducing us to him. I get a bit iffy when meeting new people, but I'm glad to know that he's a chill and cool dude like us."

Giuila scoffed, "Well, we wouldn't have even seen him if you hadn't taken us to that field place! So really, we should be thanking you!"

"I love meeting nice people," Luca muttered as he closed his eyes and rested his head against Alberto's hair.

"Aw," Giulia smiled as she looked over at them. Alberto turned away as he started blushing.

"What? This is normal!" Al snickered.

"I know! But it's just cute," Giulia replied, tucking her hands in her pockets.

The mood quickly changed as they spotted Ercole a few yards away. He was walking his way home, until he saw them too. He stopped and turned to them, giving them a hard, and almost scary glare.

"Let's walk faster." With a worried look, Giulia took Al's hand and they speed-walked away, until they were out of his sight.

Before it went completely dark outside, they had reached their home. As Alberto carefully set Luca down, Giulia opened the door and they headed inside. Once they made it to the kitchen, they could smell some delicious Lasagna being cooked.

"There you are! You kids were gone all day!" Massimo laughed as he was setting the table.

Giulia smiled, "Yeah, heheh. We were hanging out with our new friend, Riccardo!"

"Really, now? Is he nice?" asked Massimo.

"Yeah, and he's super fun," Alberto replied. "We did all sorts of crazy stuff, he's pretty cool."

Massimo nodded, "That's good to hear. I hope I'll get to meet him one day, maybe he could come over for dinner some day."

"Now that would be nice," Giulia agreed as she sat down at the table. Alberto and Luca sat with her.

Once the lasagna was ready, Massimo cut it into eight pieces and handed each of them a plate. He sat down with them and they started eating.

"You guys stayed out of trouble, right?" Massimo asked as he dug his fork into his food.

"Yes, Papa. We hadn't run into Ercole's group at all today, either," Giulia told him.

"That's a relief. Hopefully it'll stay that way," said Massimo.
