"Looks like Ercole hasn't changed much..." Luca spoke as he and Alberto stepped out of the water, and onto the cold grass of the island. Everywhere Luca looked was empty, there was no trash or hoards of stolen stuff in sight. This place really is deserted...he thought to himself.

They brought a bunch of new stuff with them to build their rides, and carefully set them onto the ground.

"Yeah, he still hadn't gotten over us beating him in the race last summer," Alberto replied. "He's still the same old catfish like the day we met him."

Shaking his head, Luca tells him, "I...just don't get it. How far would you have to go to have things go your way? Why is it so important to him to be on top and be the center of attention?"

Alberto rolled his eyes at the question. "Well, from what Massimo had told me, Ercole grew up spoiled and his parents were just terrible. Because of them, he's still living with his Mom. And he's nineteen, by the way."

Luca cringed, "Oh man...I can't imagine still staying with my parents, even when I turn eighteen. No way would they let me, they make sure that I'm getting prepared to living on my own in four years. I'm glad I'm not spoiled like Ercole..."

He looked up at Alberto, "Wow, and you've had to deal with him for...nearly nine months! I mean, what else has he and those...other weirdos done at the village?"

Al breathed an annoyed sigh, "Like I said, they'd just been acting the same. But what does it matter? We can avoid them, forget Ercole! C'mon, let's build this ride."

He patted Luca's shoulder before walking over to the pile of junk and sorting through it. Luca shook Ercole out of his thoughts and started helping Al.

"There she is," Alberto sighed as they stood up and admired their work. He rested his arm on Luca's shoulder, "She's a beauty, isn't she?"

Luca looked at the smug look on Al's face and couldn't help but laugh. "Man, you never cared how bad or sloppy our rides looked, did you?"

Al replied with a scoff, "No way! What matters is having fun! Alright, you ready to take this baby up the hill?"

Luca nodded, smiling. "Yep, let's do it."

Getting the ride up the hill was challenging, but they were able to manage. After checking that it was safe, Alberto hopped in the front and smirked at Luca, "Ya coming?"

Luca took a moment to look at their work in amazement. It was just like old times. He quickly shook his head, snapping out of his thoughts, "Sorry, heheh. It's just...I didn't realize how long it's been since we've done stuff like this. I remember those days like it was yesterday! Have you ever kept doing this kinda stuff when I was gone?"

"Eh, sometimes, but it wasn't the same without you," Alberto told him. He then smiled again, almost giggling. "I missed hearing you screaming in terror as we were flying into the air. Gosh, that was hilarious."

Luca's face heated up. He playfully pushed Al, "Ok, ok, I get it."

"Hey, you're not gonna back out, are you?" Alberto asked him, raising an eyebrow. "You better not. Is Bruno talking to you?"

Luca quickly shook his head, "No! No! I'm doing this, I'm never backing out, not until we get tired!"

Alberto looked at him with surprise, laughing. "Woah! You better keep your word on that, Luca. That means you can't back out at ALL, even if we might die! Now get on!"

Luca hopped on with him and immediately they took off. He held onto Alberto as they sped down the hill, towards the ramp ahead of them. Within seconds, they were already in the air, their hair flying in the wind. As they landed into the ocean, they rose their heads out of the water, laughing and cheering each other.
