✧ STILL EREN'S POV ✧
a minute of silence after i recited my vow hit hard. i started laughing at how i probably look so stupid right now. my amusement was cut short when i started feeling some kind of rumbling beneath the ground. my first thought was an earthquake so i dashed right out of that place without looking back. after i could no longer feel any unusual shaking in the ground, i relaxed my speed. but then realization stabbed me.
fuck, i forgot the ring... fuckfuckfuckfuck not again-
i spun on my heel back to my previous direction and marched over to that strange place. my heart couldn't help but have this little freak out session [sounds wrong ngl but y'all get my point right] as i got closer and closer to the location.
i took a deep breath, hoping- well more like begging, that no other curious animal took the ring. as i placed my hands on the vines and bushes to pave a way for me to enter, a sudden chill shot through my whole body. out of instinct i pulled back my hands and they were freezing. its like my hands just returned from being stuck inside ice.
i could hear rustling coming from the inside so my mind automatically assumed it was another fauna trying to get its hands on the ring. but then i heard... a rattle? huh?? as the confusion set in my brain, another sound can be heard. this time it sounded like someone trying to brush off dirt or dust off their clothes.
a million questions swirled around me. what?? or.. who??? after i collected enough courage i was ready to confront whatever or uh whoever was in there. i loudly stomped my feet inside and i was met with a pair of stormy gray but blue-ish orbs as eyes.
the other.... guy? was twirling and fiddling with something on his finger. his raspy voice sent shivers down my spine as he spoke,
"hmmm... shiny"
