One Way Out

That night, the gladers decided to stay awake for much longer than usual so they celebrate Newt's almost full recovery, most of them were really surprised at how Newt recovered as they did not know anything about werewolves or any other supernatural creature. When everyone finished their tasks they gathered around the bonfire. Gally had made his juice with his secret 'formula', as he liked to call it.

When everyone was there, the "party" began.

"Hey, who would like to sing karaoke with me?" Lydia asked.

"Count me in!" Sonya said, "Let's sing __________ by ________ ______  _______" 

"Sure" and they started singing.

*I threw a wish in the well,
Don't ask me, I'll never tell

I trade my soul for a wish,
pennies and dimes for a kiss
I wasn't looking for this,

"I didn't know that Lydia could sing," Minho told Thomas.

"Me neither"

Ripped jeans, skin was showin'

Minho and Thomas joined them.

*Hey, I just met you,
and this is crazy,
but here's my number,

It's hard to look right,

And all the other boys,
try to chase me,

They had a great time, everyone enjoyed it.

Newt was Med-hut resting. He wanted to go and have fun with the others but he knew that he had to stay there. He was thinking how much he would help the gladers escaping the maze with his supernatural powers, that moment he felt an uncontrollable power. Without knowing it, he started shapeshifting. He had claws and fangs. He started roaring.

The graders heard him. They thought that the grievers made that sound so they didn't pay much attention, but Lydia, Scott and Thomas. They run towards the Med-hut. When they arrived there they saw Newt kind of scared but and angry at the same time.

The other gladers were really confused.

"Where are they going?" Sonya asked.

"I dunno, but I am sure they will be back in a second." Minho said.

"Newt?" Thomas asked.

"Um- I don't think it is full moon today" Lydia said.

"Let me check." Scott said checking his phone. "Well, it is!"

"And why hasn't his face changed, like yours when you turn?"

"I don't know, but we have to do something before he has the urge to kill someone."

"Newt you have to concentrate" Thomas tried to help Newt.

"You know that this is not going to work, don't you?" Lydia told Thomas.

"Just let me try"

"Okay"

"Newt, I know that you can go back to normal. Just focus." Newt looked at him, that moment Scott recall we he turned for the first time and he was going to kill Stiles. He couldn't see Thas trying to help Mewt while Newt could anytime attack him, so he grabbed Thomas and took him out of the Med-hut.

"Go with the others" Scott ordered.

"Wait, what? Are you kidding he is my best friend!" Thomas said.

"I know but you have to trust me" Thomas left disappointed and Scott got to the Med-hut.

"Scott, you are his alpha. I think that if you shapeshift and roar you will be able to turn him into a human" Lydia said.

"I'll give it a try!"

It was a clever plan and it did work. Newt's claws and fangs dissapeared. He  passed out.

"Why don't you go and bring Thomas, he must be really worried about Newt" Scott told Lydia.

"Yep, sure"

"Why did you leave, previously?" Minho asked Thomas.

"I wasn't feeling good and Scott and Lydia wanted to come with me so to check Newt and help me"

Thomas saw Lydia approaching them and he was sure she had good news.

"Hey, what's up, Lyds?" Thomas said.

"Come with me" Thomas followed her "and you too, Minho".

She led them to the Med-hut, where Newt and Scott were stading.

"Hey" Newt told them.

"Oh my god, you are alive" Minho told him.

"Yes and I come to the party"

"That's great"

"Oh by the way, I am a werewolf"

"What? That cool"

"I know, right?"

"Let's go and have fun!" Lydia said and everyone went to the bonfire.

"Hey! Newt is back again!" Frypan said happily.

That night must have been Newt's best of all time. Expect the fact that Malia wasn't there.
