AGAIN I DON'T OWN ANYTHING!!!!!!! HOPE YOU LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

The Burrow. One year after the Battle Of Hogwarts-

Ginny's P.O.V-

"Happy Birthday to you!" I sang happily, laughing at the confused little boy toddling around our living room, "Happy Birthday dear Teddy!! Happy Birthday to you!!" We all cheered loudly and clapped. When we stopped the little boy clapped a couple of times before falling over his own feet and crashing onto the carpet. I laughed and picked him up. I hugged him tightly, watching as his hair changed to an embaressed red.

"Just like Tonks," Molly smiled and ruffled his hair brightly, "I'll go help Andromeda with the cake." Teddy was living with his grandmother, but we'd invited them round to ours for his first birthday. I threw the little boy up in the air and caught him again, making him laugh hysterically. His hair changed back to it's normal shade of cobalt blue as he cheered up and laughed again.

"Catch George!" I yelled as she threw the birthday boy at my older brother. He caught Teddy at the last minute and turned angrily to face me.

"At least put a cushioning charm down first Gin!" He shouted.

"I was gonna!" I yelled back and stuck my tongue out. As much as I wanted to ignore him, I knew Mum would kill me if I dropped Teddy, so cushioned the walls, ceiling and floor before sneering at him and running towards the staircase.

""Here you lazy bums!" I yelled up the stairs at Harry, Ron and Hermione, "Come and play with Teddy!"

"Okay!" Came the loud reply, "We'll be down in a minute!"

"Fine," I grumbled and walked back into living room. Teddy was laughing and toddling around the room again, making his hair change to a bright yellow.

"Cheer up Gin." George groaned at me, "Enjoy yourself."

"Yeah real easy at the moment isn't it." I retorted, even though I was trying to make an effort to smile a bit.

George was saved the need of having to reply when Harry, Hermione and Ron walked in, smiling at us.

"You weren't here to sing happy birthday to Teddy." I said indignantly, folding my arms and expecting a very good excuse. As if!

"We were just talking." Ron shrugged before throwing himself onto one of the couches, yawning loudly.

"At least try to play with Teddy." I begged, "It is his birthday and he is your godson Harry!" I finished angrily, turning to him and glaring.

"Okay," Ron grumbled, standing up, "But if he gets dropped it's your fault."

"Even if you do drop him," I smirked at my brother, "He won't get hurt. Cushioning Charm."

I had just thrown Teddy to Hermione when I heard Mum calling from the kitchen.

"Fred!" She yelled, then evidently broke down crying at her mistake. I rolled my eyes, but went to comfort her anyway, seeing the blank look on George's face.

"Hey Mum." I said quietly, walking in to find her sitting on a chair and crying heavily into her hands. Andromeda was standing by the sink with her back to my Mum, obviously not wanting to intrude.

"I'm sorry," Mum sobbed, "I'm so awful."

"Hey," I whispered, hugging her tightly, "We've all done it at some point. But please, just try and be happy for Teddy's birthday."

"Alright." Mum snuffled and dried her eyes, "I'll try." It was at this point that I noticed the huge cake that was sitting on the table.

"Whoa!" I said, "That's enormous! Why does he even need that much? He's just turned one!"

"Yes, but." Mum smiled sadly, "Remus said that he would never let you starve if we died, and I just-"

"I understand Mum." I said and hugged her once more, "I'll go tell the others that there's a cake on it's way."

"Thank you Ginny dear." Mum said and dried her eyes once more.

"Everything alright?" Harry asked nervously as I walked back in.

"Yeah fine," I shrugged off, "Hermione, can you get rid of the charm, we're having cake now."

"Cake?" I heard Ron say, looking up from Teddy, whom he was holding on his knee.

"Trust you greedy." I said bitterly and laughed as he pulled a stupid face.

Teddy didn't seem to understand at all about why he got a cake, but loved it nonetheless. We all ate happily, joking and smiling. When almost every slice was gone, I sat back in my seat and laughed at the delighted little boy sitting at the head of the table.

"It's such a shame Remus and Tonks couldn't be here." Harry whispered in my ear and I nodded, instantly falling quiet, "They would have loved it so much."

"They should've seen their little boy grow up." I whispered back, trying to keep my voice low and quiet.

"What are you two whispering about?" Mum asked me, looking across at us.

"Hmm?" I jumped, "Oh, oh nothing." I lied and blushed bright red.

"If you say so." Hermione giggled before continuing her conversation with Ron.

"Um," I said and stood up, "Can I go up to bed?"

"Ginny dear what's wrong?" Mum asked and I just shook my head.

"Nothing. I'm just tired that's all." I yawned loudly.

"Stay for a few more minutes dear." Mum said so I sat down grumpily.

"It's fine Molly," Andromeda said, standing up as well, "We ought to go now. Teddy's had enough excitement for one day."

"Certainly," Mum said and started to pack up, "He'll sleep well tonight." Andromeda picked Teddy up and started to walk towards the door. We all followed her, wanting to say our goodbyes.

"Bye Teddy," I said, kissing him on the forehead. He gurgled happily, making us all laugh.

"Has he started talking yet An?" Mum asked curiously.

"Nearly," Andromeda smiled proudly, "I'd give it a couple of weeks tops."

"Well," Mum said, "Be sure to tell us when he does. I wouldn't miss it for the world."

When Andromeda had left I went straight upstairs. I found Harry, Hermione and Ron in their room, so decided to join them.

"Poor Teddy." Hermione said absentmindedly, "Wonder what he'll do when he finds out."

"Cry." Ron said simply, "Wouldn't you?"

"Of course I would," Hermione gasped, "I mean, no one would be able to take that quietly."

"I cried," Harry said suddenly, "Cried non stop for days. Even made Petunia cry I was so devastated."

"How old were you?" I asked inquistitively, "When you found out I mean."

"I must have been around four." He replied thoughtfully.

"Bed time now you lot." Mum said, sticking her head round the door, "It's getting late."

"Okay Mum." I agreed, too tired to start a fight.

I fell asleep almost instantly, determined to skip my normal chores the next morning.
