Changing Time

Nyx's POV-

"Teddy, we can't change what happens. It'll mess everything up." I tried to persuade him. We were camped out in the study, me and Teddy on sofas and Alfie on the floor.

"Please Nyx." He begged me, "I want to save him, my Mum and my Dad. I wouldn't be able to bear it if I just let them die."

"You understand the rules of time Ted." I tried again, "Things can't be changed. If you save Sirius, you might not even end up existing."

"I agree with Pink Head." Alfie said loudly. Idiot, "I won't just sit idle, do nothing and watch him die. Its not fair!"

"Life isn't fair." I said before I could stop myself and the two boys sent me an evil look.

"But this is death." Teddy said calmly, rolling over and going to sleep- ending the argument with him victorious.

Teddy's POV-

"Potter has gone to the Department of Mysteries." Snape panted, out of breath and jumpy, "He thinks Black is there and is trying to save him."

"Rally!" Dumbledore shouted, making us all jump in surprise that such a loud noise could come from such a frail man, "Sirius, stay with the children and the rest follow me!" Sirius looked like he was about to argue but caught my eye and shut up, nodding meekly.

"Bye Mum." I smiled, hugging her tightly and feeling relieved, knowing that she'd be alright.

"See you when we get back." Dad kissed the top of my forehead before following Mum out of the door.

Only me, Nyx, Alfie, Sirius, Snape and the Weasley twins were left, sitting frozen in the kitchen and trying not to imagine what could be happening.

As we were sitting I started to get what felt like new memories. My fifth birthday was with spent with my Godfather Sirius as well as the Weasleys, same for all of the others. I was being waved off Platform 9 3/4 by him and a girl I hadn't seen but for some reason knew was called Kara Woods. We agreed together for me to go back in time to save my parents.

All the new memories I had were amazing to live through again. And, for the first time ever I felt like I had family.

"Let's go to the study." Fred said after a while- I could tell it was him because his left eye had a small fleck of green in.

"Up for Truth or Dare?" Sirius smiled evilly, standing and heading to the door, motioning for us to follow.

"Why not?" Nyx shrugged, pulling me and Alfie out of our seats and after him.

Surprise, surprise; Snape didn't come. Not that I'm complaining. He may be good but that doesn't stop him being a boring git.

"Take a seat." Sirius said darkly when we walked in (he was already sat in an armchair). We did as he said, sitting in a tight circle around the coffee table.

"Who's going first?" George asked, cracking his knuckles and smirking cruelly at each of us in turn.

"I'll go against Sirius." Nyx said slowly, turning to face the, now surviving, man to her right, "Truth or Dare?"

"Dare." He replied straight away, his dark eyes sparkling slightly.

"I dare you to..." She replied, clicking her tongue as she thought, "Snog a cushion."

His cocky smile fell slightly when she said, but he did it and it was hilarious.

"Right Ted." He said after we'd finished crying with laughter, "Truth or Dare?"

"Dare." I replied confidently, "But I'm not snogging anything, I have a girlfriend."

"Wimp!" The Weasleys chanted together, getting louder each time.

"Shut it!" Sirius yelled, "Ted, clean Kreacher's cupboard out. No nose pegs allowed."

"What?" I gasped, giving him a death glare after I'd got over my shock.

"You heard me." He said teasingly, "Off you go."

"I hate you." Was all I could come up with, "You will pay for this."

After I'd finished cleaning out the cess-pit I was forced to have a cold shower. Sirius Black was in deep trouble, and even he couldn't smooth talk his way out of it.

"Truth or Dare Georgie?" I asked one of the twins.

"Truth." He shrugged, "I'm untouchable."

"Hmm. Drink this." I smiled, handing him a drink and biting back a laugh as he downed it, "Now, do you want to snog Angelina Johnson?"

"Yes." He squeaked, going bright red.

"That's my girlfriend!" Fred yelled, launching onto his brother and punching hard in the face.

"Veritaserum Georgie." Nyx shook her head disbelievingly, "How dim are you?"

"Get off Fred!" He shouted, sending a rude finger gesture in mine and Nyx's general direction.

"Leave your brother alone Fred." Sirius said boredly, not doing anything to help.

"I'll get you for that." George hissed venomously at his brother, "Propose to Snape for me would you little bro?"

"You little-" Fred started to say but was interrupted by a loud bang.

Dad came staggering into the room, holding what looked like a body in his arms.

"Move!" He said loudly and quickly, going to lay them down on the sofa.

"Who is it?" Me and Sirius gasped in unison. Their whole face was covered in blood and blonde hair clung to a sweaty forehead.

"Get Molly!" Alfie yelled out of the door, "Injured person!"

"Who is it?" We hassled him, expecting the worst, but nothing could prepare me for the truth.

"Tonks." Dad said blankly, his face white and he was shaking.

"Mum!" I screamed, falling to my knees beside her and crying loudly. Harry had never told that anything like this had happened and it terrified me. What if it was my fault?

I looked down and saw that my hands were fading, becoming transparent.

"We're losing her." I said softly, "I'm being wiped from existence. Mums gonna die and then I'll never have been real. I'm disappearing."

"Please have hope." Dad said, hugging me tightly and sobbing into my sandy brown hair, "She'll be fine."

I stroked a small lock of blood drenched hair from her eyes, my tears falling onto her face.

"Please out!" Molly Weasley bustled into the room, her face pale and grim, "We need to get her to St Mungos!"

Mum groaned in agony as Sirius and Dad picked her up between them, lifting her clear of the sofa. They flooed away as quickly as they could, trying to keep brave faces on even though they were terrified.

"All we can do now is pray." Molly said softly, giving my heaving shoulder a quick squeeze.
