Tay is their residential drama queen. If Gun was feeling a little fired up the day before because of Off, he no longer feels that level of annoyance. All because of the entertaining show he is now witnessing, courtesy of Tay with his mobile phone.
"No baby, I remembered our Anniversary. I even decorated the whole coffee house in blue balloons. Wait I'll send pictures.'' Tay pouts over the phone. Gun wonders if pouting could save Tay at all. He has messed up big this time.
Normal functioning adults in relationships do have a thing for Anniversaries and stuff but Gun's relationship with Jane had problems that were elevated to a whole new level. So he can't quite relate to Tay's agony now. Nevertheless it's highly entertaining and very educational.
"No no please don't… I love you big bear. How about me sending blue hearts for you? Please believe me.''
Gun admits that he does feel a little bad when Tay keeps on pleading like this the first thing in the morning.
"NEWWIE....'' Tay whines. Surely the other end must have hung up.
"Can't believe I'll be rendered boyfriend-less any time soon.'' Making a scene out of nothing seems to be Tay’s life motto. By now Gun is quite used to these occasional dramatic outbursts and he is unfazed when he sees Tay slinging an arm around Off’s shoulders preventing him from making breakfast.
"OFF, I love you so much. Please be my boyfriend.'' Tay whines again.
"Tay don't make me kill you for real.'' Off warns.
"I have been rejected.'' Tay mopes dangerously when Gun reaches the counter while drinking in the sight of delicious looking pancakes set out in colourful plates.
What a strange coincidence! I have been rejected too. Gun thinks sympathising with Tay. And he returns his gaze to Off who looks pretty nervous for a guy who dodged giving a proper answer to Gun's abrupt confession. A closer inspection reveals dark circles around Off's evasive eyes. If it was another situation, Gun would have worried and felt a little concerned over Off's health. But today, it's almost a privilege to be the reason behind Off's sleep-deprivation.
"Okayyyy so what's going on?'' Tay asks noticing the awkward staring contest between Off and Gun.
"Nothing at all, right Off?'' Gun drawls making his displeasure seep through every syllable he utters.
Off's only saved from further questioning as Arm enters their company absentmindedly scratching his hair, yawning and muttering something about lack of sleep and having to witness more drama.
"Hey guys, let's play truth or dare'' Tay declares all of a sudden.
"Why? And again why is this whole place covered in blue balloons?'' Arm looks slightly annoyed by the sight of the coffee house probably because he'll be the only one to clean the mess Tay has created.
"It's an act of my devotion. It's a symbol of my undying love for Newwie. It's also..'' Tay starts.
Arm holds his head between his hands and shouts "Ok ok forget that I asked that question.''
"So truth and dare, it is.'' Tay yells an octave higher than Arm. Nobody gets to veto it.
And when they settle for the game, the bottle spins a little too faster than the spinning of the world and points accusedly at Off who is currently wearing a 'why does the universe hate me so much' face.
Gun can barely hide his glee, grinning at Off's misfortune."Dare.'' Off is saying without missing a beat. How typical! The guy will rather jump off a cliff than admit a truth.
Even so Off's current misfortune is a blessing for Gun. "Can I choose the dare for Off? Please Tay.'' Gun only has to insist and Tay is already giving a thumbs up.
