The glass vase shattered above you, hitting the floor like rain.
"Scott... please." You said, slowly standing up.
His eyes were a piercing red as he started to turn.
"Look, I know you're having trouble controlling it after becoming a true alpha so it's okay, Scott. Just listen to me. It's gonna be okay."
You took a step closer.
Scott growled, and took a step back.
"Scott. Listen to my voice. You need to control it." You took another step.
"I cant." He said, balling up his hands into fists. He crouched against the wall. "Please, go. I don't want to hurt you."
You took the final step and closed the space between the two of you. You slowly sat in front of him and took his face between your hands.
"You wont." You kissed him slowly, feeling him tense up. After a moment he softened, and he slowly pulled you closer, deepening the kiss.
You pulled back and smiled when you saw him back to normal.
"How'd you know that would work?" He asked.
"I didn't." You smiled and kissed him again.
"I'm sorry about the vase. I didn't mean to throw that at you. I would never do that. I-"
You kissed him again, cutting him off.
"I know." You said as you pulled away from the kiss.
Scott smiled.
"Anchor." he whispered.
"Huh?"
"My mom. She told me that when I'm like that, when I'm transforming and can't stop, that I need to find an anchor, something to pull me back to reality. Something that reminds me of who I really am... That you. You're my anchor."
You smiled at the thought, then kissed him again. "And you're mine."
