Standing there in a whole different form, was Meliodas. But it wasn't truly the one Acantha had come to love. Something was off about him. The way he spoke and carried himself. It was obvious who he really was when the man called Hawk the "rare pig". 'That's not Meliodas at all...' Acantha thought. "This is the demon king possessing Meliodas' body." Merlin said weakly. The demon king chuckled. "You really are a clever one." He said. After an exchange of words, the fight was on. Everyone started to land hits on the demon king. Acantha would send over fireballs that would redirect themselves and attempt at hitting him but all he would do is dodge it. She quickly grew frustrated and just wented Meliodas back. Merlin put the ones she could into a perfect cube, Acantha not being one of them since she was holding off an attack. Out of no where, Hawk started to provoke the demon king. He went on and on saying how he was going to fight him when he escaped the perfect cube.

The man looked at Hawk and broke the cube, grabbing onto the pig. "You really are such an annoying swine..." He said with a disgusted tone and started to squeeze the pig in his metal claw like weapons. The sounds of Hawk's pain triggered something within Acantha. Without even thinking she ran up at the man. "Let him go dammit!!!" She screamed and attempted to kick him in the face. The demon king didnt even need to dodge. He grabbed Acantha by the neck and held her above the ground. The green eyed girl held onto the mans arm  with her own legs so there was at least some kind of pressure taken off of her throat even if it just made him strangle her himself. In an instant though, she felt someone grab her and hold onto her. "Honestly Acantha ya gotta think before ya run into battle. What if ya got killed?" Ban asked casually, holding Hawk in the other arm. The nymph rolled her eyes a bit and rubbed her now sore neck. "You look like you've been through hell and back." She commented snarkily. The man raised an eyebrow. "One, youre not looking any better and two, you've got quite the smart mouth on you. Who's the bad influence?" He questioned, setting her down and handing her Hawk.

Acantha went to the side of the sins and had Elizabeth heal Hawk. She gently pet the pig's head and watched Ban go against the demon king. The demon king had unleashed his true power, completely leveling the kingdom of Camelot in a giant tornado type of magic. Ban remained unaffected and endured it all well as did the demon king. However one thing did stand out. And that was the fact the enemy did take damage. It was a slight relief on everyone knowing these attacks weren't in vain.

It seemed as though the demon king was struggling, meaning Meliodas was fighting back in the spirit realm. Ban was winning for a little bit before the demon king was overpowering him. "There must be some way we can help!" Diane exclaimed. Gowther thought for a moment. "I have an idea. Just trust me." He said and had everyone enter the spirit world in their spirit forms. For Acantha, everything was dark for a moment before her body just felt lighter and less pressure. She noticed where they were and the sight of Meliodas with his back turned to the group caused her heart to skip a beat. Just seeing his figure caused her to tear up.

The blonde male turned around and saw everyone there, tears of joy running down their faces. His eyes quickly landed on Acantha and he was quickly taken aback by seeing something he had never seen before. Sure Acantha has given these small hints of an expression, but seeing such a genuine and sweet smile on her face paired with the tears in her eyes, his heart melted. "And just why are you crying, Acantha? You really didnt think I'd give in that easy." He put a hand on her head. "I did say I'd return to you after all. Though that promise won't be fulfilled since we arent in the physical world yet." Meliodas could feel himself getting a little emotional. Acantha didn't even know what to say in that moment. All she could do was nod as he ruffled her hair. "Just don't give up on me okay?" He asked. The nymph leaned into his hand with another nod. As Meliodas smiled at everyone, it quickly faded as the demon king attempted to strike down on the blonde. He put his fingers up and managed to do much damage on the much larger enemy. It was impressive and nothing anyone had seen before.

Now it was Meliodas against the Demon King with the support of the sins. The battle was a vigorous one, with Meliodas using balls of darkness condensed together and pelting down onto the enemy. Everyone gave words of encouragement, only fueling their captain even more. Acantha stood by Gowther's side, watching with an expression that could only be described as pure adoration and joy. Her heart felt fuzzy and her eyes sparkled with happiness. "You've helped me overcome any fear I've had in my heart... Even when I couldn't be by your side, I knew deep within you would return and keep your promise." She said, giving him the last bit of encouragement he needed. The short blonde powered up his attack and allowed Gowther to bring everyone to the physical world for safety. Acantha watched her view of Meliodas drift away, now feeling content and more hopeful than ever. And it seemed as though this was working. The demon king layed on the ground surrounded by darkness before launching himself around. "The demon king is on his final throws, and seems to be taking Meliodas down with him." Merlin said. Ban became frustrated by this. "Well now we just need to get the damn sore loser out before its too late." Ban said and ran at the man, stopping him in his tracks and letting Elizabeth use Ark on Meliodas.

The sins all worked together to get Meliodas back to normal. Diane created a diamond tower to keep destruction to a minimum. Ban finished off this purging of the demon king and it was silent and dusty. "What happened...?" Diane asked and looked up. When the dust cleared, there was a beaten up Meliodas and even more beaten up Ban hanging onto the diamond tower. Everyone was relieved as the captain was back to normal and Ban wasn't dead. The one most relieved though, was the green eyed nymph known as Acantha. She looked at the blonde and smiled softly, getting a wave in response. Everything felt right in that moment and their future looked bright...
