Chapter Fourty-One: Heirs to a Lineage of Legends

I want to dedicate this final chapter to my big sister who never stopped encouraging me to finish this story. Even as my story didnt blow up how I wished it would, she never told me to stop whenever I wanted to give up. She has been the reason I kept going and getting to so many chapters. And although me and her had moments we seemed apart, I would give the world to her. I would give the world just to be there for her. I care so much about her and this chapter is dedicated to her, thank you Raven for encouraging me to continue this story to the point it has become.

It had now been eleven years since Acantha had given birth. To everyone's surprise it wasn't to a healthy single baby, she had given birth to a set of healthy energetic twins. And although the pregnancy was rough for Acantha's body she was pleased to see how her lovely children had grown. One twin, the older, had short curly amber colored hair with bright turquoise eyes and was always out for adventure. Her name was Lyra. The younger twin, an equally as adventurous boy with blonde hair and vivid green eyes who was covered in freckles from head to toe, was name Astral. One thing that differentiated the two was that while Lyra inherited both her mother's nymph power and appearance as well as demonic power from her father, Astral had only inherited Meliodas' power. Even so, both children were treated with an equal amount of love and adoration by their parents.

"Come on Astral! We have to warn the others!" Lyra yelled to her brother who ran after her. "Slow down a bit and maybe I can keep up!" The young boy called out. The twins ran as fast as they could through the kingdom before finding some of their town friends of Liones who were all circled around in the shade to escape the afternoon heat. "You guys! Its an emergency! While me and Astral were visiting the castle to see Auntie Elizabeth we overheard some maids talking about a dangerous group called the Seven Deadly Sins as well as their acomplace the Fire Starting Fairy are gonna meet up tonight in town!" Lyra announced. Astral nodded and continued talking. "I hear they have some sketchy plans going on right now! We have to protect Liones!" Astral exclaimed. The two both put their hands on their hips. "Just like how our father and mother and their friends protected it!" The two said in unison.

It was silent for a moment before the group of children all got up and left, making up excuses. "Hey don't just up and leave like that!" The twins yelled out and pouted. "Don't worry Lyra! We can do it on our own! We're both strong! And I'll always be by your side!" Astral encouraged his pointy eared sister. Lyra looked at Astral and smiled brightly. "You're right. Together forever no matter what!" The half nymph demon grabbed her brother's hand and went to scope out the town as the day went by and slowly fell to night. Astral and Lyra had started to wander off where the sins had been plotting to meet only to be caught by their mother, the one and only Acantha. "There you two are! I was worried sick." The woman knelt in front of her children and used the sleeve of her dress to wipe the dirt from their face. "You didnt come home at the usual time you would and I got worried you got into some trouble." She said softly and cleaned up her rambunctious children. "We're okay mamma..." Lyra said. Astral was being stubborn about getting the dirt cleaned off his face. "We were just trying to stop the Seven Deadly Sins and Fire Fairy from overthrowing the kingdom!" The younger one of the two said with determination. Acantha pet both of them on the head. "Come on you know its an important day for your father. You had him worried too." She pointed behind them where Meliodas and the rest of the sins stood.

The two froze in embarrassment before yelping. "Ah! The Seven Deadly Sins! Come on Astral! We can take them on!" Lyra was going to charge at Ban but he just had his hand out infront of her head to stop her. "I thought I remembered you liking me for my food. Acantha, captain, get your gremlin number one." He said boredly. Acantha picked up Lyra with a sigh. "Sorry Ban... These two are letting their imagination get the best of them again." The poor mother huffed and held onto Lyra until she ran out of breath. Astral was getting doted on by King and Diane for looking almost exact to his mom. Gowther stood by Acantha and Meliodas. "For a child who inherited both of your powers, Lyra has a rather low combat class." He stated. Meliodas shrugged and held his wife's waist. "Yeah we're working on that. This one is just always running into fights blindly." He stated.
