So... this was a titan.

The creature's skinless face stared right into [Y/N]'s eyes. Immediately, she put her ten up around herself, blocking the heat that the giant thing was emitting.

Still caught off guard, she tried to get her senses straight and to think logically. Unlike others, she hadn't been thrown off the wall like a rag doll. She looked around, searching the place for other remaining cadets.

Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice yell. Looking up, she caught sight of the teenage boy she had been talking with. He drew out both of his blades in a screaming furry, lunging towards the creature.

"Eren!" [Y/N] cried out, thinking the boy she had just met was going to get himself killed.

Weirdly enough, before the cadet could slash the nape, another huge wave of hot vapor got released. In under a second, the monster had completely vanished, leaving everyone dumbfounded.

"Crap! It got away!" Eren exclaimed, getting back on the wall with his gear.

[Y/N] took the opportunity to take down her thin layer of ten and rush over to the boy. Looking down at him, she gripped his shoulder.

"You shouldn't have done that. You could have easily gotten killed," she hissed out, mildly frustrated. "Come on now. We gotta move."

"We shouldn't stay here" Thomas stated. "We must go to the inner quarters!"

Everyone rushed to use their gears and get back to the millitary base, which apparently was the point where all cadets have to reunite at in crisis like this one.

As she flew alongside the cadets, [Y/N]'s mind raced.

Letting the soldiers and civilians know about nen wasn't an option, so she had to be careful about pulling out her wand. Who knew what these people would try to do to her when this crisis was over if they noticed? She didn't need any more problems than the ones she already had. Best to keep a low profile, even if it meant letting a few people getting eaten. She'd have to rely on the gear for the most part.

Why on earth would this happen on the very day the scouts chose to leave? Worst timing in history, for sure. Unless... someone had planned this? The people behind these walls didn't seem to know if other humans were even living outside of them. Perhaps someone-- or something-- was controlling the titan appearances.

"Whatever the situation you're in, [Y/N]~" the memory of Hisoka's voice rang inside her head. "Always try and think outside of the box. The solution lies there."

Nodding to her thoughts, she landed in the headquarters with the rest of the trainees.

Once in there, she could clearly see the total chaos that reigned. The soldiers there were mostly cadets in training, totally new to a crisis like this. People were screaming, crying and struggling to adjust their equipments because of their trembling hands. A few poor souls were even puking their guts out in some corners.

She felt like the only capable person around.

"What a mess," [Y/N] whispered to herself. "I bet none of them could ever even find the hunter exam site. Totally hopeless."

"Ma'am!" someone exclaimed, running over to grip her arm. The little trainee seemed to focus on her uniform.

"You're a scout, right?  You've seen titans before? You can guide us, right?"
