Sting's POV-

After we made it backstage, Hayleigh went ahead of us back to the locker room as I had Darby stay behind with me.

"Hey, is everything okay?" I asked him.

"Yeah, why?" Darby raised a brow.

"You weren't yourself yesterday. You worried me a bit, kid." I admit.

"Something just came over me. It's nothing." He tries to just shake it off.

"Oh really? So it wouldn't have anything to do with Hayleigh then, right?"

I've had a bit of suspicion that maybe Darby was starting to develop feelings for my daughter. Only because he's never acted like this around any of the other female talents.

Darby tensed up slightly. "No sir." He looks at me, a bit of worry in his eyes.

"No need to get nervous Darby. I know you're a good kid." I smile and pat him on the back.

He smiles back as we continued walking.

Darby hadn't fully confirmed my suspicion, but to me, it was pretty evident what was going on. Did I mind it? Of course not. Like I just told Darby, I think he's a good kid.

Then again, I could just be taking this all the wrong way and it really could be nothing, but I couldn't come up with any other reason why Darby would be acting this way.

.

.

Over the next couple of weeks, I've been training with Hayleigh whenever we weren't at Dynamite arguing with Team Taz. Darby would meet with us the day before and would help out. It seemed that he had started becoming more comfortable with Hayleigh as I would watch him teach her a few new moves here and there.  He was still nervous around her, but at least now the boy could form complete sentences when talking to her, even if they were short.

I also took notice of how happy Hayleigh seemed to be when she's around Darby. She had warmed up to him pretty quickly, which is a rare thing for her to do.

This week Tony had scheduled for Darby to be in a match against Ricky Starks. I found this interesting because it's no secret that Starks had been trying to flirt with Hayleigh. The funny part about it is how Hayleigh would bluntly tell him how she wasn't interested, but he just couldn't take no for an answer. This also made Starks envy Darby more because he thought the same thing as me; that they may both have a thing for each other.

Hayleigh's POV-

Tonight Darby has a match against Ricky Starks. I wanted nothing more than to see Darby beat the living daylights out of him because he's just SO annoying! Literally every week so far he's flirted with me, and I have had enough of it.

I had arrived at the arena earlier to hopefully dodge Starks at all cost. I was in my Dad's locker room getting ready. Looking in the mirror, I adjusted my crop top before deciding to go to catering to get a drink. Leaving the locker room area, I looked around, making sure Ricky was nowhere in sight. I successfully made it to catering and grabbed a water and began making my way down the hall. Just when I thought I was in the clear, I heard his annoying voice.

"Hay Hay!" Ricky's voice chimed behind me, making me physically cringe

I stopped and rolled my eyes as I turned to face him.

"What, Ricky??'

"Baby, when are you gonna let me take you out on a date?"He smirks, circling around me as he looked me over.
