Hayleigh's POV-

Waking up, I rubbed my eyes. I went to move but stopped when I felt something holding me down. Looking down, I saw Darby's arm wrapped around my waist. I felt my heart momentarily stop as I slowly turned my head to see him still sound asleep. I let out a small sigh, laying my head back down, not wanting to wake him up. Just as I laid back down, I felt Darby pull me closer towards him as he nuzzles the back of my shoulder.

I internally scream as I felt my heart pounding. I know he wasn't doing this on purpose because he's sleeping, but that didn't help calm me down. My plan was to just pretend I was still asleep and to let him wake up first so it hopefully wouldn't be so awkward.

Almost as if it were on cue, I heard Darby begin to stir before groaning lightly.

"Fuck..." He whispered, slowly pulling his arm away from me.

I felt him sit up beside me, letting out a sigh. I pretended like I was still asleep for a couple more minutes to not make it so obvious. Slowly sitting myself up on my arm, I turned my head back at Darby and grin.

"Morning, skater boy." I sit up fully and turn to him. "How are you feeling?"

"Hella sore."

"Did you sleep well at least?" I asked, tucking a strand of my hair back behind my ear.

"Surprisingly, yeah. I actually had the best sleep I've had in a while."

I smiled before stretching my arms. "I'm gonna go down the street to get some coffee. Anything specific you want?"

"Wait," Darby stops me as he slowly gets out of the bed, trying not to wince in pain. "I wanna go with you."

"You sure? You said you were pretty sore."

"I'll take some Aleve and be fine." He says.

"Okay." I grin before going over to my bag and picking out a quick outfit to change into.

I looked back as Darby rummaged through his bag, taking out some clothes and the bottle of Aleve.

"I can change out here if you rather change in the bathroom." He tells me.

"Alright. I'll be out in a couple of minutes." I go into the bathroom.

I changed out of my hoodie and into a pair of leggings, a black long-sleeved shirt with my father's logo on it, and slipped my converse on. Looking in the mirror, I ran my fingers through my hair, tieing half of it up in a messy bun.

"You dressed yet?" I call through the door.

"Yeah, you're good. " Darby calls back.

I walked out of the bathroom to see Darby in black skinny jeans, his "Coffin Drop" t-shirt, and his signature jacket with the hood up and doc martins.

"You look so cute when you have your hood up." I smile at him as I go over to my bag, my wallet, and my keys.

I looked back to see a grin on Darby's face as he blushed.

"Let's go get coffee." I nod towards the door.

Darby and I go out to my car. I started it up, hooking my phone to the aux cord and then passing it to him. "You can be DJ this morning."

"Really?" He looks at me with a brow raised.

"Dude, you played Deftones yesterday. Yes, really." I grin.

"I didn't know you liked Deftones." He gives a faint grin while scrolling through my playlist.

"How have you not figured out by now that I listen to just about everything?" I giggle and start driving. "But yeah. Diamond Eyes is my favorite song by them, so when you played it yesterday I was actually kinda shocked."
