Welcome back, dearest readers! I hope you enjoyed my previous story. This one is from the point of view of a woman in the ISS (International Space Station). It describes a day in space and what she feels like in the space station. It is a bit different from the rest of my stories as I have made it more carefree and interactive. I hope you guys enjoy it, don't forget to share and comment!

Waking up strapped to my bed is definitely something I do not recommend. I unbuckled the straps holding my body against the surface of the so-called mattress. My body slowly elevated from the ground, tilting by the lack of gravity. I floated towards the bathroom where I would be spending another 30 minutes trying to get ready for the day. I held each handle, stirring my body towards the compact bathroom, my legs dissolving into the air, my body mixing with the atmosphere. After 3 minutes of floating, I managed to twine my fingers against the door's handle before twisting it open.

Another thing I do not recommend is trying to excrete your daily doses. Let me tell you this, it is a dirty job. I looked up at the mirror to be greeted by a halo of golden strings surrounding my face. I sighed before covering it with dry shampoo, the last time I took a shower was at least 1 month ago. Being in space sure had its fair share of disadvantages. I tried my best to clean my body before gliding of to have breakfast.

My fingers curled around the transparent packet, holding the much disgusted bar of cereal. Oh, how much I missed a nice breakfast for a change. I took a bite, the gooeyness of the bar sticking up to the inside of my gums. The tasteless flavoring filled my mouth, my face twisted into what looked like a grimace before forcing down what was remaining of the bar. I dusted of my hands onto my clothes and left towards my room to check my schedule. I didn't have much work apart from monitoring a newly launched satellite. I decided to go sightseeing for a while, which meant watching the earth until I got bored. I headed towards the viewing lab, my breath hitched as the mass of blue and green appeared in front of my eyes. I had seen it a million times before but that didn't mean I wasn't just as mesmerized by its beauty. The radiance of the aura forming around the sphere was breathtaking, the colors merging into one whole, a flawless piece of art created by the beauty of science.

This is what I lived for, these were the moments I awaited most. The beauty, the unbelievable facts that existed in life, in space to be specific, were truly amazing... I spent the next 45 minutes staring intently at our planet, drinking in each detail. I glanced at my watch, time in space was impossible to decipher. Two o'clock in the afternoon was just as dark as midnight. I decided to finish the satellite monitoring before having lunch with my colleagues. After sending a couple of voice messages back to earth and verifying the premises, I was called into the dining table for lunch. I floated there, holding onto handle, directioning myself to reach the room. Samantha was waiting for me there, a huge grin plastered across her cocoa-colored face, her eyes shining with happiness. Seeing her so happy made my smile involuntarily, I decided there might be good news judging by Sam's joy. I greeted my companions, before buckling in onto the cushioned chair. Our leader, Mr. Casanove, greeted us, his blonde hair matted with heaps of gel to keep it in place, his green eyes glinting with excitement. He made sure we were all seated before telling us the much-awaited news.

"Hello everyone, NASA allowed us to go back to earth! It has been a month of a beautiful experience; however, we all need a break before our next mission. Some time to spend with our families would be appreciated by all of you here. It has come to my notice that Monday shall be our last day in space, which means we will have to spend the next 48 hours enjoying the last moments here as we don't know when we will be coming back. I hope you all enjoyed your time here and continue your adventures in the future. It certainly has been wonderful for me even if I wince every time I have a meal, even if sleeping has been a headache, I have made some of the best memories and have been part of an unforgettable experience." Mr. Casanove finished, we could see the droplets of water floating around him which meant he had actually shed some tears.

It really had been an unforgettable journey. All those cherishable moments had made it worth it, but it certainly would be good to be back home. Enjoying the presence of our loved ones, because after all, home is the best place in the universe. Not even space can top it...

Well, that was it for today! Like, share, and most importantly Comment:) See you next time!
