Shawn's POV, 3 days after his kidnapping

It has been 3 impossibly torturous days in this hell hole. Everyday it's the same story, I wake up at 5 am after which I am obliged to train for an hour to keep my body in shape. Supposedly, they might need me to fight their battles, although the workout isn't too bad, I have always enjoyed training. Being in the military has its perks. After the workout that involves agonizing amounts of weights, I get my breakfast, which is a tiny glass of protein shake making me starve for hours at end. After that, so called breakfast I had to work in the lab helping with previous and current experiments including the production of the Perpetuity Stone. This continued until 6pm, when I finally got a break for dinner, I never got any lunch. Afterwards, I get the honor of working three more hours before my bedtime, overall a pretty pathetic routine, but I guess it isn't the worst.

Today, however, was different. Selena Mathews, my beloved kidnapper, was going out with her posse, which meant I probably had the place to myself excluding a few guards here and there, which I was hoping I could beat up. I needed to find a way to get out of here; I couldn't be stay here, working for their sorry buts. So when her highness left her domain, I went out on my own little mission...

It was exactly 6pm when the door closed behind Selena; I carefully tiptoed my way out of the lab after taking of my uniform. I headed towards my room, which honestly, looked closer to being a prison cell. The walls were made of cement and the white paint that covered them was peeling off. There was a tiny mattress on the floor, with poor bedding and cold bedsheets. The only other piece of furniture was my side table, small and rusted. The room was freezing. I headed towards the side table and took out my watch, it was the only belonging I was allowed to keep, I buckled it onto my wrist, I would need it to look at the time. I shut the drawer as softly as I could and slowly padded away to the central corridor. I walked towards the control room, I would have to delete the security footage of at least the next hour. Two guards were standing in front of it, which was expected.

-"I need to go inside, the lighting in the lab is damaged. Selena allowed me to fix it." I said, trying to keep my voice demanding and believable.

-"We're afraid you can't access the control room. We have been given strict orders to not let you or anyone else in until and unless Ms. Mathews calls." The first guard sneered.

-"Oh, but then how am I supposed to work?" I asked.

-"Just wait till Ms. Mathews comes back, till then train." The guard demanded. I knew I had no choice but to fight them.
