Harry let out a groan as he woke up exhausted. He had spent the entire night sorting through the souls of a rather large hurricane. He groggily dragged himself out of bed and woke Draco before getting dressed.
As Harry headed down the hall alone, he stopped when he felt an incoming familiar presence behind him. Instantly spinning around he found himself face to face with a young Luna Lovegood. The blonde with strange Spectrespecs gave him a warm smile as she tilted her head to the side.
"Hello, Harry Potter. You don't look as exceptionally ordinary as you did before," she commented dreamily. Harry stood frozen for a moment before he let out a startled laugh at her words to which she smiled wider. He swiftly pulled the short girl into his arms, the witch immediately resting her head on his shoulder.
"It's good to see you Luna," he breathed out. Luna moved back as she clasped her hands behind her.
"I would say it's good to see you too, but I haven't exactly met you before. It must be the Nargles doing," she guessed. Harry chuckled.
"Not the Nargles this time, Luna. It was Deaths doing." Luna hummed noncommittedly.
"That makes sense I suppose. Death always had the ways with blibbering humdingers." Harry shook his head in exasperation, still not understanding anything going on in her head.
"How much do you know?" he questioned as they headed to the great hall.
"I have dreamlike memories though slightly blurred, mostly of you. Like the thestrals and DA. It's like an incomplete puzzle I suppose. I have a couple pieces, but they don't all fit together." Harry just nodded.
"That's similar to Death's words." Harry suddenly stopped and looked Luna in the eye. "Hey, I'm glad to have you back. You were an amazing friend." Luna just gave her spacey smile back.
"I'm glad you think so. You were good too, even with all the nargles crowding your head." Harry translated that to a "thanks and you too". Harry removed the discreet silencing charm he set up as they arrived and went to different tables. Before sitting down, Harry turned to Luna.
"Hey, if the others bully you like last time, tell me. You did so much for me. It's about time I did so as well."
"Thanks, but you don't have to worry. The wrackspurts will help me," she responded before prancing over to the Ravens. Harry chuckled again at her aloof attitude and sat down with some of his friends.
"Who was that?" Draco asked him as he came from behind and sat down. Harry grinned at his friend.
"That, was Luna Lovegood." Draco seemed to have remembered her part in Harry's life as his face reflected recognition. He mirrored the grin back.
"I'm guessing you'll make friends with her again?" he whispered to him. Harry smiled wider before sending a telepathic message.
'Death sent her memories in her dreams. She remembers me.' If Draco was surprised before he was even more so now.
'Seriously?! That's amazing, Har!' Draco thought. Harry sent back feelings of agreement. They returned to reality at their concerned friends waving a hand over their eyes.
"Hello? You guys alive?" Pansy called out as she snapped in their faces. The two turned to her.
"Yes, we are," they replied together before turning to each other and laughing.
"Scary. You're almost like the Weasleys," Daphne muttered. Harry grinned proudly while Draco blushed slightly at the mention of them.
"Hey, did you guys hear the rumors over the summer? Of three death eaters dying in similar intervals of each other?" Theo asked curiously as he buttered some bread. Harry tensed a bit midbite. He knew that muggles wouldn't survive long in the prison and would die, but he didn't think people would care much.
