Leila's P.O.V.
I panted lightly as I finished with my recent kill. I leaned against the frame of the front door of the house and nearly fell when Hoodie came out.
"She was a feisty one." Hoodie laughed lightly.
"Time?" He looked down at his watch.
"It's 11:54. Let's just go to that house across the street this time, last kill of the night." We sprinted across. Usually, we had to go a good distance from each of our victim's house so no one would get suspicious. Hoodie went up to the front door. "They have an alarm system, you go up through the window above us, I'll find one through the back." I did as I was told and climbed the tree that led to the window.
I puled out the screen on the window and gently lifted it to not make any noise. As soon as I climbed in, I was hit with a strong, strange smell. I grabbed my nose to keep from making any noise. I glanced over the bed to see a man and woman in the bed together, both in their birthday suits. After debating on whether or not I wanted to see the two nude, I finished them quickly by just cutting off their head.
I cut off the man's first only to wake the woman. "W-what's go-" She got cut off, by her head falling to the floor. I grinned and climbed back down the tree to be greeted by Hoodie.
"How'd it go?" He asked.
"Great, the girl was really slow in relaxes. And realizing her husband thing was dead." I laughed and Hoodie joined in.
"So, how's school going?"
"Eh, it's kind of hard but worth it." I shrugged.
"Speaking of which, would you like to go back out to the clearing with me tomorrow and play a hard-core game of chess?" I looked over at him.
"What's 'chess'" I questioned the hooded man.
"It's a great game, so how 'bout it?"
"Love to, right after school?"
"Yeah! That alright?"
"Of course, but we'll have to make sure we're not followed."
"What do you mean?"
"Goldie was sent here by Zalgo to watch over me. After she reports all that she's seen and heard, if he doesn't like it, I might have to go with him." We entered the forest, the waning gibbous illuminating the scenery around us.
"Oh." Was all he said.

IMPORTANT, SORT OF: Also, this is the official 30th chapter and I feel like this book is going by kind of quickly. Don't get me wrong, I love writing new chapters for this book. However, I kind of want to do something special instead of the usual chapters and author's note.
