Leila's P.O.V.
I laughed lightly at my own idiotic nature. Of course the answer was obvious! I continued walking down the various hallways until I came to the door I was looking for. I took in a breath before knocking on the old maroon door, partial bits of it's paint was coming off.
"It's open!" said the monotonous voice. I opened the door then quickly shut it once I was inside. "Oh, hey Leila!" Hoodie said, more excited this time. "What brings you here?"
"Well, you see, I kind of need to talk to you about something." I said looking down and shifting my weight uncomfortably. Hoodie sat on the edge of the bed and patted the space next to him.
"Sit down, then we can talk about it." I sat down and looked at him. I quickly thought about what I was going to tell him, though I already knew. I looked down into my lap, staring at my folded hands.
"Uh.. Well.. You see.." I started. Hoodie waited for me patiently. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes and he seemed taken back with the sudden change. "I-I had these dreams. A-and they were about all kinds of stuff! But I know it wasn't a dream, it all just felt to real and-and I just felt so helpless and sad in them. Then Araceli! Araceli was hurt and Slender was there! And I- I just-"
"Shh. It's alright, Leila." Hoodie said worried. "Why don't you start off with who's Araceli?" I nodded and gulped.
"She's my sister. I think. I've dreamt about her twice. The first one was of us in some park and she was talking about some girl who pushed her off a slide. The logic in me told me to go kill the girl, but then Araceli stopped me and I continued putting bandages on her, but then Slender appeared behind her and I woke up. The second time was more like a vision. I had as I was walking back here and it was of her 8th birthday party." I couldn't help but let a single tear fall, reminding me of the contacts I was wearing. I quickly took them off and explained the rest of the dreams to Hoodie, who nodded along through all of it.
"I see." Hoodie said a minute after I was done. "I'm guessing you don't want me to tell Slender...?" He looked at me.
"Please?" I hopefully asked. He sighed.
"Fine, I won't. But you know he won't like it." Hoodie said.
"I'm telling you though, they're not dreams." I leaned back onto the bed. "They felt too real. It's like.. me in another life. A past life."
"I believe you, but what could they be?" He said in a steady voice.
"I'm not sure..." Something clicked and I sat up straight. "What if I lost my memory?" I asked. He laughed nervously.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I can only remember back to the date that I arrived here, or rather, woke up here." I went over the facts. "The question now is, what happened before that?" I looked over at him excitedly.
"What're you talking about? You've been here for as long as I can remember." My face fell.
"Really? How come I don't remember?..."
"I-I'm not sure, a-are you s-sure you do-on't remember when Jeff w-was first brought he-ere?" He stuttered. Since when does Hoodie stutter?
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure." I sighed. This was the moment for the 7 classes in Theatre Drama to come in. "I guess you're right." I said, trying to play that I was disappointed.
"A-are you going t-to try to regain your memories?" He questioned. I nodded, trying to act excited.
"I'll ask the others about stuff they remember about me from when I was younger." I smiled at him. "Thanks Hoodie!" I got up and left, frowning once I shut the door behind me. Silva told me not to be so trustworthy of people, I can see why now. I went to my room and gathered supplies to take a shower.
What he said just didn't add up. If I had always been here, Slender wouldn't have told me what I was called and I wouldn't have to go through training. Not only that, but Luna wouldn't have to explain to me what the rules were. I would have to keep up this act though. Maybe I can trust Luna, she has always watched out for me. I smiled to myself and felt my eyes change color. I could tell by now due to the tiny stinging whenever it happened. Depending on my mood, they sting at different levels of pain. I'd have to tell Luna after my shower then play along with the get-up. I entered the bathroom, without the slightest clue of what the day held for me.
