Leila's P.O.V.

It's been a few days since the dream, I don't remember much of it except the word mom. The other pastas haven't mentioned the word once, so it probably doesn't have any importance to it. It's after breakfast and I decided to come back to my room to reorganize the drawers.

After that is done, I go to find something to do. I walk out of my room to be greeted by Toby. "Hey Toby" I say, smiling at him.

"H-hi Leila." He greets back. A silence falls over us.

"So... What're you doing?" I ask him.

"I-I'm heading back to my room t get my hatchet, I f-forgot it and I w-want to go hunting." He tics.

"Oh, I'm sorry, here you go." I move aside so he can get through. With a quick ''Thanks", he's off. I sigh and head down the steps to the living room.

"Hey Leila!" Hoodie greeted me.

"Hey Hoodie, where's Masky?"

"Slender sent him to give a report to Zalgo, he won't be back 'til tomorrow morning."

"Ah, I see." I told him. "Hey, remember when I went hunting with you and Rake, and you were telling me about some clearing?"

"Yeah, you wanna go?"

"Yup!"

"Arn't you going to play some games with BEN and Jack?"

"I've been doing that for the past couple of days, it gets boring after a while."

"Alright, go get your sword though. There might be some campers."

"Okay." After I get my Elucidator, Hoodie and I begin heading there. "Won't Slender get mad since I left?"

"No, I told him beforehand, gotta come prepared."

"Oh, can I ask you a question?"

"Shoot."

"What's up with Toby?"

"You mean his ticking?"

"No, whenever I'm around, he seems to tense up. And what's worse is that it always gets tense and awkward between the two of us."

"Oh, I think it's because you resemble his sister, Lyra. We're here." I look around to see short grass all over it. There's a couple bushes here and there outlining it's frame.

"It's pretty here." I say as Hoodie goes and lays down on his back in the middle of it. He taps the spot next to him, gesturing me to join him.

"Well, what happened to Lyra?" I ask, taking off my sheath and putting it ext to me as I lay down by Hoodie.

"She died in a car crash. Besides the fact that she had blonde hair that was always in a pony tail, you look like her."

"Did Slender cause the crash to happen? Is that how you know what she looks like?"

"If he did would you tell Toby?"

"No."

"Then yeah, he did. That and the fact that he has a picture of his family in his room."

"Oh, I see." I look up at the sun in mid-sky. "What happened to the rest of his family?"

"Well, he killed his dad, but his mom is still alive." The word mom rings in my head.

"What's a mom?"

"You know what the others meaning except that one?" I nod. "A mom is the woman who gave birth to you. Why'd you ask?"

"I had a dream about, what I think is, my mom." He seems to tense up a bit.

"What happened in the dream?" I look over at him, my hands on my stomach.

"I don't remember much of it." I say looking back up at the sun. "But I know I was crying in it for some reason. I think my mom and dad insulted me or something. I'm not too sure, it's pretty fuzzy."

"When'd you have the dream?"

"Three days ago." He sits up, some dead grass stuck in his hair.

"And you didn't tell Slender?" He sort of yells. I sit up as well, a little scared due to him yelling at me.

"I-I didn't think it was important." I stutter. "I-I just figured  didn't want to bother him with it and bug him." I rant. I began feeling a slight stinging in my eyes that causes me to squint. Hoodie gasps quietly and lifts my head slightly with his right hand.

"Come on we need to go." He says getting up.

"Why so soon?" I ask quietly. "Are you mad at me for not telling Slender?" I slowly get up and grab my sword.

"No, not at all." He laughs a little. "I'll tell you on the way to Slender's office." I feel the pain in my eyes go away as I hurry behind Hoodie. Today might not be so boring after-all.
