"Oof." James said and sat up, rubbing his eyes. The other three marauders stood around his bed.
"How does it feel to be 13?" remus asked.
"You would know, remus."
Remus laughed. "Happy birthday, old man"
They all squished together on James' bed.
"Look what I got you!" Peter said excitedly, "Happy birthday!"
He opened the box."Ooh yum." inside were bunch of baked goods
"I made them with the house elves."
"I love it peter."
Mmm yes, birthdays were the best. All the wonderful attention of the marauders all on you.

James looked up from breakfast to see Lily sit beside him. "Hi lily! It's nice to see you, as always!"
"Yeah, happy birthday."
"Thank you!""I got you something."
"Really? You didn't have to!"
"Eh well i did, so here."
James hugged the box to his chest. "Thank you so much."
"Open it you prat."

"Awww" he squealed, then he gasped. "Is it just me or does it remind me of sirius?"
"Oh merlin yeah it's me!"
I laughed. "definitely."
"Aww that's adorable." peter said
"Do you think the teachers will be nice and let me one day without my uniform?"
"Maybe some."
"Eh ill chance it." He took off his robe and put it over his other shirt. "I love it."
"I'm glad I have the marauders' approval." then lily went and sat with her friends
"This is the best day of my life."
"Only the best for you, james."
