Peter

20 ish minutes after we all showed Remus our animal forms, he decided to be angry. Fortunately for me, he focused most of it to sirius.

"Do you not know how dangerous that is! And to have three of you do it? Do you not know what could've happened? You could've been caught and sent to azkaban, or worse, stuck in a half dog half human form! Do you not think at all!?? You could've had both happen to you. On the better side, you could've had detention, not that you cared about that." he sighed heavily. Sirius just waited until he was done. "And! Do you know you'll have to hide your whole life?? It's super illegal! You don't want to go to Azkaban, sirius! Or! What if you get james put in azkaban! Or peter!"

"They choose this themselves."

"You think Peter would say no?? I'm angry at him but more so you and james! Him hearing this is enough punishment for peter."

"so .. you're going to yell at james next."

"Yup, as soon as I'm done with you. Did you think at all sirius?"

Sirius just waited. I knew them. Serious fights were regulated a lot better than non serious ones most of the time. Sirius wasn't angry, that made this argument a lot easier to hear.

"That's a question, sirius."

"You know that I did."

"Why did you risk all that, huh? You think you're invincible?"

"If anyone could do it, it's us. It's worth the risk, you're worth the risk."

Remus sat, deflated from all the yelling. "Just go."

Sirius knew he just needed space right now. "Want James, or later?"

"Might as well, bring him in."

Remus

I laid in my bed staring at the star stickers. Many times I thought of enhancing them to change with the constellations, but I decided I liked them the muggle way, like my mother.

It was late. I thought about today. I thought that I dealt with it well. Perhaps it would be better to show my emotions without yelling but my friends understood and I didn't regret it.

Yet, a little bit of guilt gnawed at my stomach. My friends did a lot for me. And yelled at them. They deserved the yelling but they also deserved appreciation.

"Hey" i peeked through the curtains that surrounded their bed

Sirius rolled over and mumbled, "she/they." she had developed a good habit of starting each conversation with their pronouns.

"Hmm? Okay."

"What.. no.. he/she.. They also maybe.. Any, I guess."

"Okay siri, just shove over." I got in beside him and cuddled up to them. This was normal enough for it not to be weird.

"Waz up moons."

"Pads, I never really thanked you. You worked so hard on this for months!"

"years " they corrected

"Oh.. years, okay, um. Yeah. I really appreciate you and everything you've done. You're my best friend and you really believe I'm worth all this risk. I'm so lucky to have all of you."

"Mhmm, of course moony. You're my best friend and I love you."

My breath hitched a little and I knew it should've been a big deal. He's said it to me before, but more.. me with the other marauders. "I love you too, pads."
