"How is that eight!" I exclaim, loudly. My books and homework scattered all over the bed with Mikey sitting next to me.
"Wild guess." He gives me a toothy smile, I give him a teasing look.
"When your in high school wild guesses don't work like that." I scribbled the math problem on my lined paper. I called Claudia today asking if Mikey can hang out with me, so she dropped him around two hours ago and right now I'm studying for my tests.
"Sounds terrible." He shakes his head like he just tasted something disgusting.
"Eh." I shrug. "High school can be fun if you let it or else your just going to have a crappy experience." I turn to him. "So how was your day at school?" Writing the answer on my homework while listening for his answer.
"Do you know how to keep a secret?" I can hear his giddy question, excitedly turning to him interested to hear what he has to say.
"Do you know how many secrets random people tell me?" I raise my eyebrows. "I've been dying to hear some good tea."
"Okay, okay." He laughs at my excitement. "Well this girl named Wyatt is dating Calvin and when I was going to the restroom I seen Jonah, Wyatts best friend kissing her cheek." He looks at me like it's obvious what's going on there. "So I think Wyatt and Calvin like each other."
"No fuck- no way." I change my wording. "Poor Calvin!" Mikey nods in agreement feeling bad for Calvin.
"And that's not all." I nod rapidly telling him to continue. "Calvin walked in on them and he started crying and now all three of them are balling there eyes out."
"Wait what?" I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "Why is Jonah crying?" I ask like he knows the answer.
"Did I forget to mention Jonah and Calvin are ex best friends." I gape at him in shock. "Turns out Jonah always had a crush on Wyatt so when he found out they were dating he wanted to get in the middle of there relationship."
"You elementary schoolers are ruthless." I shake my head. "Nah Wyatt is the one we should all blame because why is she still going to be friends with Jonah? And how much do you want to bet that she knew."
Why am I so invested in little kid drama?
"From what you told me I can already tell Wyatt loves drama." He nods answering my un spoken statement. "You shouldn't be with someone who associates themselves in drama, it's only going to leave you heartbroken in the end."
"You should be a therapist." He states.
"I need a therapist." I joke, uh maybe dad won't agree with me but whatever. We look up at each other when we hear the doorbell ring.
"Last one at the door gets to be friends with Jonah and Wyatt!" He screams as he rushes to the floor, I run out of the room.
What? Jonah and Wyatt seem toxic as fuck.
