Chapter 3: Pico

Bf was currently following DD close behind as they began their travel to find Pico and recruit him to go against Monster himself. Neither of them had any self defence weapons so their plan at the moment was go to some sort of store, find something to defend themselves with, and then go recruit others. Their best bet was a gun or something that they can shoot from afar so they don't have to get close to the civilians and expose themself to the 'virus'.

"Hey DD?" Bf suddenly spoke up. DD hummed in response, staying on track. "What if they don't want to join us? What if he's already dead?" DD sighed and stopped. "Their others out their. If he's gone, it's not the end of the world. Plus, if he's smart, he'll know what is best for the world." He responded, continuing to walk. Bf hesitantly followed. DD was right, but it was still hard to process this all.This was all a lot to take in.

As they continued, they could hear more and more people walking around looking to infect others. It was truly like a zombie apocalypse. They both had to stay in the shadows to avoid them. DD seemed to be keeping his composure. Boyfriend, however, was not. He was shaking and fiddling with his hands as a distraction. He was a hot mess.

"Stop." A voice from the shadows commanded, causing Bf to jump but come to a halt and DD too freeze in place. He didn't seem scared, just trying to seem intimidating. Whoever said it sounded offley familiar though. "Why are you here?" The voice rang out again. "Simple, to find you." DD responded, not budging a muscle and staying in the same position. "Wait-PICO?!" Bf shouted, looking around. "Why do you need me? So you can feed me to those beasts, I don't think so." Pico said, finally revealing himself. His shirt and pants were ripped, indicating he had already faced off against one. Even his hair was screwed up which was a very rare sight to see.

"Not particularly. Not if you play it off right that is." DD said, staring him straight in his eyes. He scoffiled and crossed his arms. "What's that supposed to mean?" This time Bf decided to join in. "Well, me and DD are recruiting people to face off against Monster. You were the closest one we could think of." He explained. DD glared at him, but then turned back to Pico. "Who is Monster exactly?" "It's who you call 'Lemon Demon'. He's the one that started this mess." DD stated. Pico finally moved his gun away so it wasn't pointing at them.

"And why should I help you instead of taking care of myself-" "Because we need you to help us save everyone!" Bf shouted at him. He just found it so annoying how stubborn he was sometimes.That's why he broke up with Pico in the first place all those years ago. He always tried to argue with every little thing and one day, Boyfriend just got tired of it and snapped.

".... fine. But you both owe me big time." He said, walking over to the two. Boyfriend smiled and patted his back. "Thank you Pico." Bf said. "Yea yea, whatever." DD rolled his eyes and turned away. "So, DD, what now?" Bf asked. He shrugged. "Either of you two know anyone that might still be alive?" Pico was the first to speak up. "I know a few. There, those two tankmen (Captain John and Steve) and probably Cas (Cassandra from Pico school). That's all I know of anyway." He said. DD took out a random piece of paper and wrote down all of the names Pico mentioned. "Alright, what about you Bf? Know of anyone?"

"Well, Whitty's probably still alive and hiding somewhere along with Carol, Ruv probably made it and is probably trying to keep Sarv alive, Skid and Pump probably made it, Kapi and Loki are probably on the run together, Tabi is probably still hiding, Spirits still in that dating simulator, Hex is questionable but maybe he made it, Agoti and Solzar always stuck together, and Tord might still be with his crew. Is that enough?" Bf asked. DD sighed. "I love how you name mostly people who would rip my guts out at the sight of me. Yea whatever. It's fine," he said, jotting the last name down. Pico silently chuckled at his response. Bf just crossed his arms and acted all grumpy, like a child. "Heh, at least I know you're still quite the outgoing type.

"Alright, we can go for Whitty first since his secret base isn't far from here and go on from their." "Wait- you know where his secret base is?" Bf asked. "You don't think I have secret cameras installed everywhere?" He responded. "Well, wise guy, how do we get their?" Pico asked. DD pointed to a truck across the road. "We're gonna hijack that truck." He said, starting to walk towards the truck. Bf was overjoyed to go into a truck for some reason while Pico was kinda just their.

"How do you know how to hijack a car exactly?" Pico asked as they approached said truck. "I've trapped someone in a video game before and this is what you question?" DD sarcastically responded. Luckily the doors were already unlocked. Pico rolled his eyes and hopped in the back of the truck and Bf went into the passengers side. He got in and pulled out a paper clip and something else. What he did was like lock picking(Imagine that all it is. I have no idea how to hijack a car or anything). Once he did that, he slid a ked he had in his pocket in and turned it, hearing a roar coming from the truck. It worked.

"Alright! Let's go!" Bf said, excitedly. Pico chuckled, resting his head against the window and resting his head and Bf watched as all the buildings went by and all the people who were corrupted just watched as they drove by. It made him feel safe that they were not chasing them. DD seemed pretty tense though. Suddenly he said something, "I want you two too keep this in mind, alright." He started while the others nodded. "If you see someone corrupt, don't kill them unless it's absolutely necessary. If you kill them, even if their corrupt, they still die in person. Meaning if you were to kill me and I was corrupt, that's the last you'll ever see of me. Got it?" He explained. The other two nodded again.

As they continued riding, it was still dead silent. The person who ran the radio stations was down so they couldn't listen to music. It was extremely awkward. It seemed to be going relatively smoothly until DD hit the brakes real hard and threw his arm over to stop Bf from flying toward. "What happened?!" Pico shouted. "Skid and Pump" He stated francily, looking forward.
