Chapter 17: It has begun

Bf and Kapi:

"Bf, wake up!" Kapi yelled, shaking Bf out of his unconsciousness. "Wha-" "It worked! Were-Were in his lair. What are we gonna do?! I've already forgotten the whole plan-" "Dude, calm down." Bf said, jumping up and placing a hand on his shoulder. He couldn't really even see anything. He had to guess where his shoulder was. "Huh?" Kapi said, finally trying to calm himself down. "Calm down, it's fine. All we need to do is somehow navigate our way out of here." Bf said, attempting to look Kapi in the eyes. He also had to estimate where his eyes were. "W-what are you looking at exactly?" Kapi asked, looking in the direction that Bf was looking in. "um... I'm trying to look at your eyes. Also, how do you know I'm not looking at your eyes?" Bf asked, now looking all around to see if he saw anything. "Because I can see you clear as day. Why? Can you not see me?" Kapi asked, looking at the rest of his surroundings. "No, it's pitch black in here. Wait.... you're a cat. You have night vision." Bf said, connecting the dots. "I mean, yea. I guess. Wait, so you can't see anything, but I can?" "Yea, exactly. You're our way of getting out. What do you see?" Bf said.

Kapi looked around. It was an empty metal room, like the ones you see in those movies. Their was a giant metal door, but he had already checked and it was locked. It wouldn't even budge. He continued looking around. There were no cracks or holes of any kind that they could escape from. Then he spotted something that just might work. "There's a vent that we can escape from. But it's pretty high up. I'm not sure how we'd get up their." Kapi explained, leading Bf in the direction of the vent. "Um... maybe you get on my shoulder and try to climb up. Then, once you're up, I'll jump and you try to catch me. Can you do that?" Bf asked. Kapi nodded, then realized the Bf couldn't see him nod. "Oh, um... yea I guess." he said. He then guided Bf to a spot that would allow Kapi to climb up easier. "Alright, stay here. I'm about to come up." Kapi explained, preparing himself. "Alright, I'll be ready." He said. Kapi took a deep breath before leaping onto Bf's shoulders. "Woah! You jumped that high?!" Bf asked, leaning forward onto the wall. "Uh, I guess. Remember, cats also jump extremely high too. "Oh yea, how'd I forget that?" Kapi took another deep breath and jumped up, somehow landing in the vent, knocking the cover down as he did. "Woah, I made it." He said, practically gasping for air. Bf chuckled and looked up, trying to see if he could see anything yet. "Tell me when I jump." Kapi nodded and took a deep breath. "Alright, go ahead. Maybe get a running head start though so you can reach." Kapi explained, reaching his hands down, ready to grab his hands.

Their was an audible breath for air before he heard footsteps growing closer and faster before he stopped hearing it. He reached out his hands and grabbed Bf's, almost dropping him in the process. "Oh my gosh, I thought I was gonna die." Bf breathed as Kapi pulled him up. "Yea, good thing I have excellent instincts. Anyway, let's get going." Bf agreed and they both went silently crawling through the vent. The longer they crawled, the more Bf could see light through gaps below them. They crawled over and around rooms before they overheard a conversation below them. It was Lemon Demon. "Shh." Bf mumbled, looking through the gaps below them.

"Crap! How did they escape?! Whatever. I need you to search the whole vicinity and don't come back until you find them." His cracky, but strangely soothing voice said. "Yes sir." That sounded a lot like Loki. "Good. And don't let me down again." He said before storming out of the room. "Loki." Kapi mumbled, tears feeling his eyes. "He's working with Lemon head?" Bf sighed and wiped the tear slipping down his face. "It's the corruption, it's not the true him. We'll get him back." Kapi nodded and whipped his face with his jacket sleeve, "I guess so." Bf nodded before they both started crawling again. After a few more minutes of crawling, they came to a dead end, right near another vent.

"Alright, I guess that's our way out." Bf explained, looking down. "It's a hallway, we need to be mindful of his little minions roaming around, so be careful. You still have that taser I gave you before we left?" Kapi nodded and pulled out his gun. "I'll go first. A jump like that shouldn't hurt me like it will you." Bf nodded and silently picked up the covering so that he could jump through the hole easily. "Alright, I don't hear anything, wish me luck." Bf nodded and watched as his friend jumped down and immediately started aiming the gun all over the place. "Alright, the coast is clear, hurry up." Kapi said, putting his gun away and holding out his arms, ready to catch him. Bf gulped and jumped. Kapi attempted to catch him, but failed. "Ow." "Oof, sorry. But we gotta go before they find us. Come on." Kapi said, walking away. Bf grumbled before slowly getting to his feet and limping behind Kapi.

After about a minute, they heard footsteps behind them. They both freezed in shock before jumping behind something and getting down so they wouldn't find them. Bf and Kapi peeked out when they passed and saw it was Captain John and Steve, the two tankmen. "Oh crap." Kapi mumbled when they were far enough away. "Tell me about it. He's got both the major tankmen. We're screwed if they find us." The two sighed before continuing down the hallway. "What are we even looking for again?" "The lab or whatever he works in. We might be able to find what he's using the corrupt people and make a cure. Maybe just even save the others." Bf explained, causing Kapi to nod and continue looking forward. "Hey!" They heard from behind them. They both froze again.

"You're the two master wants. Get over here!" They both looked back and saw Taki and Eleted. Taki was the one they heard. "He got Taki and Eleted??? We're screwed." Kapi mumbled, clacking away some. To their convenience, they were at a dead end. Well, not Bf and Kapi's convenience, Taki and El's. They both backed onto the wall in fear. "H-hey, maybe not kill us." bf stuttered, reaching for his taser. "Nonsense, we do as master pleases, not how you please. Now would you kindly turn yourselves into us so no one gets hurt?" Eleted said, holding his hand out. "N-no."

"Then we do this the hard way." He said, snapping his fingers, transforming their whole surroundings to a glitchy black void. Taki chuckled and suddenly made a chainsaw come out of nowhere. "Oh God!" Bf said, grabbing onto Kapi. "What- I'M NOT SAVING YOU! GET OFF" Kapi yelled in fear, attempting to push him off. "You chose this fate, now we're doing this the hard way." Bf gulped and backoff Kapi. Then their was a crack and Kapi and Bf both fell into a portal, bringing them into the building again with Taki and Eleted were nowhere in view. "Why hello you two." They heard a groggy voice say.

"Garcello!" Bf yelled, giving him a gigantic hug. "Um, who is this exactly?" "Garcello. The one I met in the alley and died. I told you about him." "Wait.... You weren't kidding?" Kapi asked, seeming surprised. Garcello chuckled and shook his head. "No one believes you, do they, little man?" Bf shook his head and looked at him. "How are you not a ghost. How did you get your human body back?" "I don't really know. I kinda just blinked and I was back here and then you two fell through a portal. That's all I know." He explained, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Oh, but I know where he's been brewing all of his potions at. Follow me." He said, pulling out a cigarette and attempting to light it. Then Kapi jumped and smacked it out of his hand. "No, apparently that's what killed you last time." Kapi said sternly. Garcello gave him a hurt look and stuffed both hands in his pockets again, lowering his head in defeat. "Fair point. Alright, let's go."

They all turned around before Kapi pushed them out of the way of a bullet being shot at them. "Garc, get Bf to the room! I'll hold him off." Kapi yelled, blocking them both from the corrupt Eleted behind them. "What?" "Just go! We've almost won! We can't risk losing either of you. I'll be fine." Kapi explained, pulling out his gun and aiming it at El. "Fine! Good luck buddy." Bf said, grabbing Garcellos arm and running away from the situation. "Alright, this way. We're close." Garcello explained, slowing Bf down some.
