Chapter 5: Whitty

Bf was the one who decided to go with DD to find Whitty while Pico stayed back with the kids. Pico was more of a father figure to Skid and Pump anyway, plus Bf was more of a persuasive type. Pico would probably just walk up to someone and threaten them to join them and DD would probably make the matter worse. Bf had to do some serious persuading in order to get most of them on his team considering DD and his history of being a villain. It was still odd to Bf how nice he was now.

DD finally got in the driver's seat after a few minutes of Bf thinking about how he was going to do this. "Alright, you ready kid?" He asked. Bf smiled and nodded, confidently. "Yea, this just might be a little difficult to do." He explained. DD sighed and turned on the car. "I'll stand as far from the alleyway as I can so you can chat with him alone, alright? I'll just stand defence and I'll warn you when yall should hurry it up." He explained. Bf nodded and looked out the window.

It only took them about 15 minutes to get where they were going. He parked a little away from the alleyway and motioned for Bf to be quiet. He nodded and silently got out of the car. "Alright. You remember the plan, right?" DD asked. Bf nodded, taking a deep breath. He slowly walked into the alleyway, hearing his own footsteps echo off the walls of the surrounding building. "Um... W-Whitty? Are um... are you in here?" Bf stuttered, darting his head any and all ways, making sure nothing would creep up on him. After a few moments of silence, he heard other footsteps around him.

"Whit, p-please tell me that's you." He whimpered. He still couldn't see anything. "What. Do. You. Want. From. Me?" A voice rang out. It was Whitty except he seemed either angry or upset. Wouldn't be a surprise either way. "I'm not corrupted, I promise. I j-just want to talk to you." He explained. He felt the need to raise his hands up like he was getting arrested for some reason. Maybe it was to show he meant no harm, maybe it was just instinct. Either way, that's what he did. Their felt like a few uncomfortable moments of silence. Bf quivered out a sigh before looking around again. "W-whitty?" he questioned again.

Within a second, Whitty had leapt at Bf and pinned both of his wrists against the building behind him. Bf gulped hard, looking in his eyes with fear. "Why are you here? How did you know I was here?" he questioned. Bf nervously laughed. "Heh, well... I'm um, working with... Some people, too, try to stop Monster from spreading this corruption. And one of the people I'm working with... told... me." He finally stuttered out. "Oh yea? And who is this person you're working with?" He asked, pinning him down harder on the wall. "Um... well... It's Daddy Dearest. He's the only one who can stop the corruption." He explained, turning his head away. "And you believe him?" Whitty asked. Bf shrugged with what will power he had left in him.

"He lied before. Why wouldn't he do it again?" Whitty asked again. "I never said I believed him... but he's saved me and Skid and Pump at least once. He safely got me, Pico, and Skid and Pump to a secret base and hasn't killed or harmed us. Plus he lost his family in this corruption. I'm sure he at least has a reason to keep us alive at the moment." Bf explained. "Oh yea? Well, I lost Carol to this and you don't see me running all around town, do ya? I'm not gathering and saving people, am I? Right now, it's every man for himself. I suggest you just leave him behind." He said, finally freeing Bf from the wall.

"Whitty, I'm sorry that happened." he said, referring to him losing Carol. "Save it. You're not winning me over with some words with no meaning behind them." Whitty explained. "But they do have meaning. It hurts to lose someone you love, I know. I've lost Gf, my big brother, and my parents are God knows where. I know how it feels, but you can't just give up and stay in hiding." He explained. Whitty stopped and looked down, clenching his hands into fists "And who says I can't-" "At least if you fight with us, their a chance of getting her back. If we win this war, all corruption will be gone and the others, well, they might overcome it." He fought once more.
