"Well, Mr. Callister, I think your good to go. If you feel any pain at all, don't hesitate to give me a call."

"Thank you Dr. Martin."

Three weeks had passed since that whole incident. I did feel a lot better, especially since Cecilia never left me out of her sight. She was clingy, and I didn't mind. I found it rather cute. I didn't know what kind of relationship we had. I knew she was hiding something, but I never pushed her for information. In dues time, I hoped I would gain her trust and she'd tell me who she really was. But in the meantime, I enjoyed the fact that this amazing woman wanted to be next to me. That she spent most of her days by my side. I never got tired of marveling at her absolute beauty. Her beautiful hazel eyes. Her beautiful caramel complexion. Her smiled dazzled me every time she directed it to me. She was just too good to be true.

"Are you done staring there superman."

I blinked my eyes, and found her smirking at me.

"I wasn't staring," I muttered, starting the car.

"You totally were."

"I wasn't."

"It's okay, I AM pretty hot."

I scoffed. "Don't get full of yourself there sweet cheeks."

"Ahhh, the struggles."

I couldn't help it. I burst out laughing. She chuckled beside me. I lived for that laugh of hers. It comforted me.

"So where to princess?"

She lifted her nose and turned to look at me.

"Home, James," she replied, taking on a British accent.

"Home it is my lady," I replied, trying to accentuate the same accent. Major fail. She burst out laughing.

"What."

"Your accent was terrible. Dear God, please don't ever attempt to do that again."

"Actually, I think I sounded pretty sexy," I said.

"That's only you though," she replied snickering.

"You little shit."

"Actually yes, I do tend to take-"

"Gah, no! I don't wanna hear it," I yelled, covering my ears. I drove back to my house, parking next to her car. I tried to convince her to sell me her car but to no avail. She was so stubborn. As I opened the door, I heard little shouts of joy.

"Brent! Cece!"

I looked up, and smiled. Megan ran up to Cecilia, giving her a giant hug.

"Oh my gosh Meg, I think you almost cut off my circulation."

"I don't know what that means. But your welcome."

I laughed. Kenneth walked up to me, his hands in his pants. He looked upset. I crouched down.

"Hey buddy, what's going on?"

"There's a man in the house."

I stiffened. "What man?"

"Mom says his name is Trevor." Unbelievable.

"Brent," I heard Cece say softly. I turned around to look at her.

"Let's just go. Let's take the kids out," she whispered. I merely nodded. I grabbed my little brothers hand and we made our way to Cecilia's car. Once inside, she backed out of the driveway, and we were off.

"So, where do you guys wanna go?" Cece asked.

"Ooh, I wanna go to the princess land," replied Megan.

"The princess land?"

"Yes Cece," Meg sighed. I chuckled.

Cecelia gave me a look that said, what the hell is princess land? I sighed.

"It's an amusement park."

"Are we really gonna go," groaned Kenneth.

"I have an idea."

We all looked at Cecilia. "I'll take Megan to this.. Princess land. And you take Kenneth... Wherever you wanna.. Take... Him," she said.

"One problem sweetheart."

"What."

"One car," I said, raising an eyebrow.

"Take the car. I'll just call when we're done."

"Wow. Your actually gonna let me drive your Camaro."

She glared at me. "If I see so much as one tiny little scratch on my baby, I will personally rearrange your face."

"I'm hurt. You care more about this car then me," I said, feigning hurt.

"Obviously."

"Gee, thanks," I replied muttering, which caused her to chuckle. Suddenly, she stiffened.

"Cece?"

She growled, then jerked her head to face me. She stared at me and I was overwhelmed by the intensity of her hazel eyes, boring into mine. I sensed her anger, but gradually her posture relaxed, and her once clenched fists were slowly unclenching. She grabbed her phone, and furiously punched a number.

"Jackson?"

Jackson?!

"Yeah, I'll be there," she said before hanging up.

"Everything okay?" I asked softly.

"Yeah," she said smiling. But I knew she was lying.

"Your lying."

"What?"

"Your biting your lip."

"And?"

"Aaaaand you only do that when your lying," I said sighing.

"Damn," she whispered.

"Yeah, I know you sweet cheeks," I said, smiling. "Care to explain what's going on?"

"Umm... Do you think you can take the kids out? Something's going on at home and I need to be there."

"Yeah, don't worry about it."

"Thanks Brent," she said, smiling out of relief. "Just drop me off at home. Take my Camaro. Be careful," she warned and I laughed. We switched spots and I made my way towards her home, trying not make a big deal out of the fact that her fingers kept fidgeting against her lap. Or the fact that she seemed anxious about what Jackson had told her. I gripped the steering wheel. Jackson had feelings for her. And no matter how much he and she denied it, I knew that Jackson wanted to be more then just friends with Cece and it angered me. I had no claim on her, but fuck. Just thinking about her with someone else was enough to make my stomach clench up and make my chest hurt. I didn't WANT her with anyone else.

I wanted her for me.

Meeting Cece changed me in so many ways. I used to think girls were useless, naive. Only good for one thing. But with her, it was so different. Every time she was gone, I felt empty. Lifeless. Like this world was meaningless. Gawd, I loved seeing her smile, that perfect smile. I loved being near her, I loved her personality, i loved the way she would occasionally stare at me, her eyes full of desire and lust, I loved everything about her.

I loved her.
