CHAPTER ELEVEN

STEVE HAD TO take a moment to calm himself down before dialing Bucky's number. He tried his best to keep his voice steady, simply asking his best friend to come over and leaving it at that.
Bucky didn't exactly know what was going on but he knew his best friend well enough to understand that something was wrong. Steve wasn't very good at lying and the fact that he avoided all of Bucky's questions raised every red flag possible.
Rushing over to Steve's apartment, Bucky loudly knocked on the door and anxiously ran a hand through his hair as he waited. Moments later, the door swung open.
Steve ushered Bucky inside, wringing his hands together while trying to figure out what to say. Bucky looked at him expectantly, unable to wait any longer. "Okay, what the hell is goin' on—"
