Arabelle throws herself onto the long and white industrial couch where her husband Andrew, is seated. She groans loudly, which causes him to chuckle in amusement.

“Are you okay Mrs Johnson? How was your day?” he asks and she shakes her head.

“Ughh it was so disgustingly boring. The meetings were all so long and draggy. I almost walked out on everyone. I mean we're lawyers not some weird support group, we don't need to have meetings almost everyday of the week,” she exclaims in annoyance and he places a comforting hand on her back.

“You could just quit and stay home with me shorty,” Andrew says in a suggestive tone, wiggling his eyebrows. She laughs at this and sits up straight, next to Andrew who has a smirk on his face.

“As much as I'd love that my dear husband, I want to make use of my degree for at least three years before we both can decide to housewife me, okay?” she questions and he nods.

“Cyrstal clear,” he says.

“Very good Andrew,” she adds on leaning over to plant a quick peck on his lips.

She pulls back and Andrew smirks.

“Did you hear about the verdict on Trevor's case?” Andrew questions. Arabelle's eyes widen. She completely forgot that today was the day.

“W-wait. W-what? I totally forgot Drew. What did they say?” she asks.

“He's going to prison for life with no paroles or pardons,” he says and she looks genuinely surprised.

“Wow. I guess he had it coming. All those women,” she says and Andrew nods in agreement. They both stay silent and in thought.

“I kind of feel bad though,” she says and Andrew looks at her.

“I mean I knew him. As a person you know? Without thinking about all the horrible things he's done, I still kind of feel like bad, I mean justice, was served but I don't know... I feel guilty sort of,” she confesses and Andrew's features soften.

“That's normal. You'll be good shorty. I mean you just did your job. If you hadn't, just think 'bout how many more people's lives he was going to ruin,” he says softly and she nods.

“Yeah. Yes you're right baby. Thank you for those words,” she says and he wraps his arm around her, squeezing her lightly. She laughs.

“So what criminal case are you ladies currently working on?” Andrew asks curiously.

“The record label case. It's a big one, you can write  a whole book and even a sequel of it,” she says and he laughs.

“That interesting?” he asks and she nods.

“It's so insane. I'll tell you about it later. Right now I need to get in the shower, come back and eat. Then maybe we can talk until I fall sleep,” she says and he nods.

“Alright shorty. Don't take too long,” he says.

“I'll be right back,” she says getting off the couch and walking to their bedroom.

Andrew switches to the news channel and something interesting catches his attention and it's far from good. Looks like there's another story waiting to be unravelled.

Bet you thought the story ends here..  well, just keep your eyes peeled  baby.
