-This was supposed to be a one-shot but I didn't finish writing the first chapter, so I decided on making it a series instead.

-I was listening to Stay With Me by Miki Matsubara, so I named it after the book.

-I wrote the draft for the first chapter months before I uploaded it, and found it on my notes. I never intended on publishing it, but It was kind of like a pastime while at home after school.

-Lei was supposed to be the reason why Y/N joined the gang, but as the story goes on I kinda forgot about him and replaced him with Alexei but kinda not. I wanted them both to be the reason for Y/N to fight. I'll try to mention both of them more in future chapters.

Characters:

-I named Lei after Hua Ze Lei from Meteor Garden. I had a big crush on him and figured that I should just name him that lmao.

-Christopher's real name Xianglung was inspired by the last characters of his and Yue's name. Lung/龍〔龙〕 lung4 {lóng} literally means dragon. Xiang/翔 coeng4 {xiáng} means soar or glide.

-I named Alexei after Alexei Nikolaevich, Tsarevich of Russia. I know they're Kazakh but Alexei is a pretty name T^T

-I wanted Y/N to be realistic as possible and not cliche. I wanted Y/N to have human feelings, rather than a mary sue or a character that lets people walk all over them, just for the sake of being the heroine.

Me :D

-I chose the word sikhye to be my username cause I was watching a mukbang where they drank a yummy-looking drink. Guess what it's called. It was sikhye! It's a sweet rice beverage, and after I watched it I kinda wanted to try making it at home. I also like the way it sounds<3 (Mukbanger is Boki btw. Eat With Boki is her channel name)

-My favorite food is siopao (asado siopao gang, where you guys at). It's basically just a meat bun. Oh, I also love donuts, cookies, egg tarts, and chocolate. I love sweets and savory foods equally ehe.

Wiki explanation: Siopao (simplified Chinese: 烧包; traditional Chinese: 燒包; Cantonese Yale: sīu-bāau; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: sio-pau; lit. 'hot bun'; Tagalog pronunciation: [ˈʃopaʊ]), is the Philippine cuisine indigenized version of the Cantonese steamed bun called cha siu bao.In Chinese, it is called baozi. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siopao#:~:text=Siopao%20(simplified%20Chinese%3A%20%E7%83%A7%E5%8C%85%3B,Chinese%2C%20it%20is%20called%20baozi.)

-I'm Filipino. Specifically, from Mindanao. You guys guess which city I'm from hehe. And yes, I speak both Tagalog and Bisaya.

-I'm a minor. A literal child.

-I always try to do a lot of research about names and how things work. Like hospitals, surgery, gun ownership, American gangs, places in New York, Chinese/Cantonese terms and culture. I want the characters to feel real. Like they're people who also enjoy stuff.

-Chinese and Cantonese speakers, do you guys think the grammar in some chapters is alright? I use a random translator online and I'm not sure if it's accurate. If it's not, please tell me so and maybe recommend me some translators <3

-I'm in the Social Studies Club. It's basically just history. I recently joined it, and we still haven't started online sessions but I'm very excited.

-I'm alright with any pronouns.

-For now, I am still questioning my sexuality but my gender is female.

===============================================================

No one really asked for this but I want to interact with you guys more<3

Thank you so much for reading this low-quality chapter and the other crappy chapters. I really appreciate you all T_T
