Shorter Wong x Reader "Stay With Me"

Proof- 1

As you were walking away, Shorter grabbed your hand gently. "Y/N please, don't go. Your life is in danger, now that you know Lei is dead and trying to avenge him. Please, let me help you." You looked at him with tears in your eyes. "W-why would you want to help me? You don't know me..." "I'm not doing this just for you, I'm also doing this for my friend Ash. " So you wiped your tears and said while looking away a bit. 

"Oh, I see. I'm sorry for yelling at you..." You felt numb. You can't feel anything since Shorter said Lei was gone. You were already having trouble expressing your emotions but it just became worse. You felt lifeless. Shorter rubs your hair as he comforts and reassures you. "That's alright. I know how you feel." "Thank you." "You're welcome.  Do you want me to walk you home?"

"If it's ok... " You replied shyly. "Well then, let's go?" You nodded and both of you went outside. "Where's your apartment at? " " It's near the public library then straight, then turn left. " After that, both of you started walking. After a while, both of you reached the alleyway that you needed to cross before you reach your apartment. It was normally quiet but you felt like there was something wrong. 

It feels like someone was staring at you both. Shorter noticed that you were a little uneasy. He asked you if you were alright. " I feel like someone's following us. " He nodded and whispered "I knew it. " He grabbed your hand and started to walk faster but you suddenly heard a voice call out. "Boss! " Both of you stopped walking and looked back instead. 

There was a boy with dark hair with a white and blue jacket on. He looked annoyed and confused. "Sing! What are you doing here?!" Shorter's face was red as a tomato. " Who's this kid?" Sing asked while glaring at you. You didn't want to cause any misunderstandings so you let go of his hand. " Um-" " They are gonna be joining our gang." "WHAT?!" Sing yelled. You were too shocked to say anything and just stared at him. " You should go back already..."

Sing was mad at you because you were with Shorter so you just smiled at him. He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "You, gonna be part of our gang? No way! You don't even know them, how can you be sure that they aren't involved with Arthur!" You were a little confused so you just kept quiet. "Dino was the same person who ordered his friend's subordinate to murder him . We lost our comrades because of that old man too. Can't we just give them a chance? " " No, they need to prove themselves first. By the way, they look I don't think they can even hold a gun..."

"Hold a gun?" "Yeah, you need to learn how to use one if you wanted to join us..." Sing answered irritated by how blunt and lifeless you are. " So Y/N, you good? " You nodded in agreement, you wanted to avenge and take justice in your own hands. But you also remembered what Shorter said about his friend. He seemed like a good person, so you wanted to help him and maybe try being to be friends with him or maybe something more. 

Oh my, Y/N is slowly falling in love with him. I can't wait to write a new chapter lmao.
