Chapter 6

I woke up someone shaking my shoulders, I sighed “Missy give me another 5 minutes!” I said covering my head with the spread sheet

“EJ, I’m not Missy!” they laughed, opened my eyes to see Phil “it’s time to get ready for school!”  He said shaking me again

“Wait what?” I said, I sat up

“Since you are no longer an orphan you have to go to school. Sorry, it’s the law!” I groaned, I could see Phil frowning “look if it makes you feel better today is Friday! Woo who!” I smiled

“fine you win” I said “I’ll get up!” I got up and out of bed, still in my jeans

“Come on, Dan is making pancakes!” Phil said walking out into the lounge, I followed him into the kitchen

“Morning EJ! How did you sleep?” Dan smiled, he flipped a pancake and it landed perfectly

“I slept good thank you.” I replied

“good, do you want some pancakes?”

“Sure!” I smiled and sat up on the kitchen bench, Dan flipped the pancake once more and put it on a plate, and he pasted the pancake to me, took the pancake and went into the lounge, where the table was. I sat down, Dan and Phil followed me in. I must of too quiet because Dan kept asking questions but I said I was okay

“Are you sure?” he kept asking, I finally gave in.

“look, I haven’t actually been to a real school, I was schooled on a laptop up until last year” I lowered by head and played with the rest of the pancake

“you could of just told us that” Phil his hand on my shoulder

“I didn’t want you guys to laugh at me or something like that!” I sulked they looked each other than at me

“EJ! We believe you can make it through school but if you don’t want to go today you don’t have to!” Phil said, they smiled

“That’s okay! I’ll go!” I wiped my eyes, they smiled. I got up and Phil took my plate so I could go down stairs to take a shower, I got into the shower and washed my hair but I got side tracked with thoughts. What will everyone think about me? What if I don’t have any friends? I shook my head “Shut up!” I muttered to myself, I was in the shower for about 20 minutes thinking then I was told off by Dan for being in the shower for too long.

I got ready and Dan drove me to school, it took about 5 minutes for him to drive me. We got to school, I gave out a big gulp “alright, here we are! Good luck EJ” Dan said kissing my forehead, I started breathing heavily

“I don’t think I can do this Dan!” I was having a panic attack

“You can do I believe you can!” he motivated

“You’re right! Thanks!” I smiled still breathing heavily, I got out of the car, I was ready! Or was I?
