Chapter 24

At the Homecoming...

Teddy and I walk into the warm building of our school, we swing the door open to my friends, Megan, Vanni, Annie, Jewel, Anika screaming and running towards me and Teddy, with Jase and Jacob tagging behind the bunch girls "Eden-June, you look amazing!" Megan squealed "And I didn't know that you and Teddy were coming together." She whispered into my ear, she pulled away "But you still look cute" she smirked at Jase

"So, who is going with whom?" Teddy ask shoving his hands in his pockets

"Um, Megan is going with Jase, Jacob is going with Anika, I am going with a girl called Harriet and Jewel and Annie don't have a date" Vanni said dancing around in a circle, Teddy and I giggled

"That's right; me and Jewel are forever alone." Annie said flailed her arms in the air, we all laughed loudly but we stop when the speaker crackled a noise

"Attention, all students that are attending the homecoming please make your way to the school hall" the speaker screech at the end the hung up

"Well, we should head then." Teddy said squeezing my hand, I blush and we started making our way to the school hall. We enter through the big doors of the school hall and my mouth hung open to see the beautiful decorated hall. Bright colored balloons bouncing off the ceiling and streamers hanging down off lighting rails. The stage had a DJ booth and was covered with lights flashing every time music was playing

The music started playing, I look over to the rest of the group who was dancing around in a circle, Anika looks over at me then grabs my arm and pulls me into the circle, I stare around seeing everyone having their own dance moves, I just I was staring too long because Jewel nudged me "Miss Eden-June Lester, please don't tell me don't know how to dance" she said sassily, I lowered me head "Ay, don't worry, just follow my moves and you'll get the hang of it." She said putting her hand around me

"Alright guys, this is last song tonight so go grab your partner and lets start the slow dance." The DJ announced through a microphone, all the rest of the girls got their partners and stood in the middle of the dance floor looking around for Teddy to pop up, someone tapped my shoulder and I turn around to see Teddy standing there "Can I have dance Miss Eden-June Lester?" he said hold his hand for my hand, I blushed and took his hand, We started slow dancing, I stared at the floor but Teddy grabbed my chin and pulled my head up slowly, I look up at him, his eyes shone brightly. I started leaning in and he leaned in too, then our lips collided again, sparks flew again but brighter this time. The music stopped, Teddy and I pulled away from each other "I hoped you had an amazing night" Teddy smirked
