Megan Equals Missing

Chapter 26

I open the door to see Dan, with his PJ's on. "Hey, what's up?" I said leaning against the door frame, I folded my arms, Dan started to grin which turned into a giggle "Wait, what's wrong." I unfolded my arms and stopped leaning against the door frame

"You did a reference from one of my videos" Dan laughed, he wiped a fake tear

"Yeah, of course." I giggled a bit "It helped me when the girl in the room next to me at the orphanage when she was doing dirty business" I muttered, Dan squeezed my shoulder

"You did a good thing." He pulled me into a hug

The next day...

I woke up to my phone ringing in my ear; I picked up my phone 'Unknown Number' flashed up onto the screen. I slid open my phone "Hello?"  My voice cracked

"Hello, is this Miss Eden-June Lester?"

"Yes, who is this?" I sat up on the side of bed

"Uh, this is Carol, Megan's mother" she had worried sound in her voice

"Oh, hi! Sorry, I didn't notice it was you. Is everything okay with Megan?" I added excitement

"Um, that's the reason I'm calling you. When was the last time you saw Megan last night?"

"I left the group with Megan in it to go home last night around ten- thirty. Why?"

"Well, Megan didn't return last night and she isn't answering her phone." Carol sniffed through the phone, could not believe what I was hearing.

"What?  When was last time you heard from her?" I stood

"She called me last night telling me she was on her way home. Before she could say goodbye she hung up for some strange reason" Carol suddenly burst into tears

"Do you want me call Megan's number and see if she answer?"

"You can try; I reckon she won't answer." Carol sniffed

"Okay, texted if she doesn't answer. Bye" I said hanging up, I dialed Megan's number. Three rings later and still, no answer. I flop back onto my bed, I started tearing up. I pulled up Carol's number and started to text

To Carol:

Sorry, wasn't able to get onto Megan. Hope you can find her.

I sent off the text and barrowed my head into my pillows, I started to cry, she was my first friend and she is missing.  I could not stop thinking about if she is dead or not, all that did was making me cry more. All I wanted was a hug from Dan or Phil, I jump up from my bed and ran into the hallway, Dan and Phil's doors were closed. I didn't want to interrupt their sleep so I left it and ran back into room, I dove into my bed and crawled into a ball and cried more. My room filled with buzzing, my phone was going off. I pick up my phone to see that there was a called from someone, someone by the name of Megan.
