At the moment, she couldn't quite put a name to the feeling, she didn't even know if there was a name to it as at it were, she couldn't think straight for the life of her... her otherwise clearheadedness seem to have departed from her. The feeling of being watched however was new.

That one where you jolted out of sleep because you felt as though someone was watching you, half the time, more often than now, someone usually was, sinister or otherwise, it could be an assailant mapping the best strategy for his attack or just a lover appreciating his better part.

There was also that one where the feeling of being watched was present except this time you are wide awake, perhaps sitting at a table in a cafe, reading a book while sipping coffee on a busy street or maybe bird watching at the park?, throwing bread at the ducks. You may most likely look widely around or glance subtly from side to side in the hope of catching those eyes.

For Rachael it was the second but she did not need to glance around subtly or wildly as although goosebumps peppered her skin in an instance, not from the seas' crisp air but from the eyes she knew were looking at her, she knew the weight of them sure as she knew the sky was blue as she had put to memory the weight of those gaze on her... the countable number of times that they had regarded her.

She had not felt them in what seemed like forever and she wasn't sure whether her heart was racing really fast because she gloried and welcomed their attention or because she now loathed and abhorred them.

Racheal was even more concerned about the fact that she was having conflicting feelings, she had had more than enough time to put on her big girl panties, she knew this day would come, when she'd have to face him again, her cover would have been blown sooner or later, but she had not expected it to be him, if anyone has actively been seeking her out, it shouldn't have been her husband, her father perhaps and by God she missed him.

But him?, what was he doing here?, more insults?, belittling and accusations?, had he not said and done enough?. Her palm left the sand and subconsciously fell on he belly giving it a quick rub. This was her baby. Hers. No one else's'. She was going to protect this baby and herself with all she had, he didn't want anything to do with either of them so she hadn't expected that she would have to from him too, he wasn't supposed to be here.

************       ****************        *************

The sea breeze rushed against his face making his already wet cheeks cold, he would have liked to blame this for the shivers that ran down his back, but he was past that, in truth he really didn't care. Anyone that wasn't minding their business could damn near watch as this woman brought him to his knees.

As he got closer to where Racheal sat in the sand, his bleary eyes greedily drank in the sight of her, her beautiful hair catching the rays of the sun looking more lush than ever, she was wrapped in a puffy blanket to protect her from the ocean chill, she didn't react particularly to his presence but he knew that she knew that he was there, as even the blanket however bulky could not disguise the tension that bunched her shoulders.

"Racheal" he exhaled standing just behind her, It seemed to be the only thing he could muster even though there was so much to say, even though he had kept playing seeing her again over and over in his head, deciding the best approach and what to say to her, he still had not the faintest clue of how to start now that he has really found her. She didn't seem to have heard him because she didn't react in any way, she kept looking straight ahead out at the sea.

    "Racheal" he called again softly.

Was the wind carrying his voice?

    Could she not hear him?
