Of course, he never saw her later.

He never called and he never texted.

Racheal eyed the banquet of flower with disdain, it was way too elaborate, trust Nicholas to go all out for the camera, the crew were at the house earlier in the morning before heading to the church when the flowers had been delivered, Racheal had had to squeal and laugh over them with Claire as she read the note

"To my soon to be bride
          Thank you"

                                    N.Mckay

How formal, how detached, how unromantic. Definitely not a typical note of a groom to his bride. He was thanking her, for marring him?, making him eligible to his fathers' company?. Racheal had to make sure the camera crew never got close enough to capture the content of the note

Sighing, she slipped on her heels and stared at herself in the mirror, the makeup artist and the hairstylists did a great job, her hair was in a loose bun on top of her head allowing curly strands frame her face, her makeup was light and smoky, lips glossy but there was no need for telling, the only person she wanted to admire her in this dress would only watch her walk down the isle and think about his pen gliding over the contract that signed Batwaters to him.

"You look stunning Racheal" Claire cooed adjusting her earrings as she joined Racheal in front of the mirror

"Thank you Claire, it's almost time, we need to get going"

"Awwwnnn Racheal you need not make it like you're signing your soul to the devil, besides brides are always late" Claire shrugged

"Not this one, and yes, I could as well be signing my soul over to the devil@ Racheal laughed humorlessly

"It's not that bad.... you're being dramatic, you said he was going to make it work, don't you...."

"Not after the other day at his house?, or at the rehearsals?" Racheal picked up her veil and started for the door "I just want to get this over with"

Claire picked the train of Racheal's gown and rushed after her "Racheal you have to sto...."

"He gets his damn company, my dad gets to retire and stay off my back about marriage, excuse me for wanting it all done with" Racheal snapped

      "Damn.... I didn't mean..."

Racheal stopped walking "Look I'm sorry okay, I'm just stressed and tired and angry... I just...."

Claire pulled her into a hug "Don't you dare cry Racheal!, I'm here for you always and if whatever mansion you're going to live in with your husband gets too lonely?, you can always have my couch"

     They both burst out laughing

"I don't even know where I'm going to live now" Racheal laughed

"He has probably bought some castle out of town, Nicholas Mckay kind of castle, I'm so inciting myself to come chill with you" Claire joked as they started down the stairs

"Between the office and the shop?,  I doubt I'd be spending a lot of time in the castle wherever it is" Racheal said

"Yeah whatever" Claire waved her off as Sam opened the door to the limousine that her father hired

The ride to the church was quite, Racheal smiled whenever Claire wanted to take a selfie but her mind wasn't into it, a million thoughts were racing through her head and none of them good. What if Nicholas didn't show up to the wedding?, what if he left her at the alter?, what if she vomited all over her dress?, what if she tripped and fell?.
