Thousands of feet above the ground and five hours into the journey, Nicholas sat in the family plane stewing, the wedding reception in a way had been uneventful apart from his dad acting like a jackass, after his dance with Racheal, there had been more eating and drinking, laughing and merriments and then they had to leave for their six hours flight to Taite island. Before they left, he had asked his father that he hand over the documents that made Baywaters his to him, Terrence had refused, his father had insisted that until he got back with Racheal from their two weeks honeymoon that there would be no talk of business. Nicholas didn't think he'd ever been angrier

Immediately they got on the plane, Racheal had gone into the bedroom, he hadn't seen her since and he told himself it was for the better, with the frustration he was feeling, there was no telling what would happen if they were in close proximity, he knew he'd be mean to her and her sassing him like he knew she would wouldn't help

Deciding that there really was nothing he could do about it now, he knocked back the rest of the bourbon he'd been nursing and closed his eyes, irritated, he started thinking of how the fuck he was supposed to cope with being with Racheal for two damn weeks.

Racheal had her face pressed into the glass of the suv as they were being transported to the hotel, everywhere she looked, there was something new to gasp at, something new to be delighted about, the island was simply breathtaking. The first thought that came to her mind as she slowly left the bedroom in the plane where she had all but hidden was that it wouldn't be so bad staying here two weeks, it would be an easy place to start her plan to make Nicholas fall in love with her, there was sun and sea and sand and all that blue sky

Her nervousness didn't start until the last of their bags were dropped and they were alone in their suite

Calling the place an hotel didn't quite describe it, it was more of a resort, there were at least twenty different apartments scattered around on this fenced part of the island, their own apartment was one of the exclusive suites, it was sheltered from the rest and had a direct part to the ocean, beautiful as it was, it also meant they were very very alone and for some reason Racheal stomach wouldn't settle, she'd be alone with Nicholas for the first time and she wasn't sure how she felt about that, things haven't exactly been going the way she wanted them to, who was to say this honeymoon would?

"I'd suggest that you put your things away" Nicholas said, heading for the door, he dropped a velvet box on the table "That's your present" he added

"You're leaving?, Racheal didn't move to pick the box, from the size of it she could guess what was in it

"Yeah, I'd be back in a few, I've got some things to take care of"

"I'd come with you" Racheal said making to pick her purse

"No" he snapped and was out the door before she could say anything else

Racheal glared at the offending piece of wood that was the door, she went to the table and picked the box, tearing off the wrappings she pooped it open to a jewelry set that matched her ring, the beauty of the piece didn't catch her attention like it normally would have, she walked into the bedroom and dropped the box the dressing mirror, she also put the wrapped box containing the watch she got him beside it before beginning to unpack

It wasn't until the lamps came on from the darkening day that Racheal realized two hours had gone by and Nicholas wasn't back, she'd unpacked her things and when she didn't have anything else doing she'd unpacked his things too, unashamedly sniffing his shirts. Worried she picked her phone and dialed his number but he didn't pick up, she tried it again but when he still didn't pick up she gave up, nervously, wondering what was going on, was he not coming back?, did he dislike her so much that he'd let her be alone on her wedding night?
