I sighed as I stared at my own reflection in the tall mirror. My stomach was huge, I was already six months pregnant. All of my jeans had gotten too small, and I had to buy bigger ones. I yanked down the black and white striped shirt I was wearing and walked out of Ben’s bathroom.

“You’re so pregnant.” He laughed, as if he could read my mind.

“Can we leave already?” I muttered. I had a doctor’s appointment today. We were meeting Andy there so we could find out the sex of the baby.

Ben looked at his watch. “Yeah, let’s go.”

I shook the whole way to the doctor’s office. Not only was I horribly afraid of doctors, but I was nervous about seeing Andy. I hadn’t seen him in a month, since my last appointment. I missed him so much. He and Juliet were officially dating again, and every time I saw them together, I would cry. Even if I was in public, I would just break down into tears.

When we pulled in at the doctor’s office, I saw Andy leaning against his car smoking. His face looked thinner every time I saw him. Ben and I got out of the car and walked over to meet him.

“Wow, you’re pregnant.” He said, Ben laughed.

“Three months to go…” I muttered, looking at the ground. I was never able to look Andy in the eyes anymore, every time I did I would be on the verge of tears.

We walked silently into the waiting room. None of us even mumbled a word until my name was called.

I changed into the paper gown that they made me wear every time and laid down on the cold metal table. My doctor, Dr. Anna, was very serious all the time. She prepared everything and then began looking inside my pregnant stomach.

“Well,” she began as Andy and Ben stood next to me looking very confused as they stared at the screen. “Here is the baby’s head, and here are its arms, and its legs, and its crotch. Congratulations, you’re having a girl.”

I smiled. I had told Ben from the time I’d started getting big that it was a girl, because I really wanted a girl. I glanced over at Andy to see that he was smiling, too.

After I was dressed and had made my next appointment, I met Ben and Andy out in the parking lot.

“My next appointment is on the 8th.” I mumbled to Andy, picking at my nails.

“Okay. See you then, Cora.” He kissed the top of my head quickly before getting in his car and pulling out of the almost empty parking lot.

I sighed.

“So you’re having a little baby Cora.” Ben said, smiling.

I laughed. “I told you it was a girl.”

As we began driving home, I pulled out my phone and got on twitter, pulling up Andy’s profile to see what he said this month about our baby.

“@AndyBVB: I’m officially having a daughter. I can’t wait to meet her! #newfallenangel”

I smiled, until I scrolled down and saw the next tweet.

“@AndyBVB: Considering popping the question tonight, but shh, don’t tell anyone (;”

“Ben…” I whispered.

“Yeah, doll?”

“I need you to take me to Andy’s house.”

He cleared his throat. “Uh, why?”

I glanced over at him; he was looking at me with a confused expression. “Please, just do it.”
