I woke up and pulled myself into a sitting position in the unfamiliar bed. My eyes hurt like hell, and I knew without even feeling them that they were swollen and red. I slowly got out of the bed and realized I was wearing Ben’s pajama pants with my black tank top. I must be at Ben’s house.

I yawned and stretched as I walked out of the bedroom and wandered around until I found Ben sitting on the couch, drinking a beer.

“Hey there, gorgeous.” He smiled, grabbing my wrist gently and pulling me down next to him.

Ben kissed my head as I laid it down on his shoulder. “What happened last night?”

He sighed. “You and Andy… broke up. You cried until you wore yourself out, and you fell asleep on the stairs. I brought you home with me so you could rest peacefully.”

I felt my stomach drop as I remembered everything that had happened the night before. Ben kissing me, kissing him back, him and Andy fighting, …Andy breaking up with me.

What was I going to do now? I love Andy. I can’t imagine being with anyone other than him. What about the baby?

I groaned, lifting my head off of Ben’s shoulder and covering my face with my hands.

“I’m so sorry, Cora.” Ben said quietly. “I shouldn’t have kissed you.”

“Don’t blame yourself. Does Andy know I’m here?” I asked, my voice muffled by my hands.

“I think so. Danny stayed over there with him last night. I texted Danny this morning and he said all Andy did all night was drink and punch the wall. Danny is supposed to be going with him today to the studio. Do you want me to take you?”

I lifted my head from my hands. “Would you, please?”

He nodded. “Let’s go.”

I was wearing a pair of denim shorts and my tank top when I pulled on my black TOMS and got in Ben’s car. The ride to the studio was completely silent, as I stared out of the window in self-loathing. When we pulled in, my stomach dropped all over again. What if Andy completely ignored me? He probably hates me now.

We got out of the car slowly, and I ran my fingers through my long black hair, trying to straighten out the tangles. Ben held the door open for me as I walked in, my nerves going insane.

We walked around the studio for a few minutes until we found Danny outside of one of the recording studio rooms.

“Hey, mate.” Ben called to him, and Danny looked up, his eyes getting wide.

“Cora, what are you doing here?” He asked, walking over to meet us.

“I need to talk to Andy…” I whispered, dropping my head.

“I don’t think that’s such a good idea.” He mumbled.

I sighed, walking around him and to the door to the room. I needed to talk to Andy. We needed to work this out, one way or another. I pushed the door open slowly but stopped in my tracks.

Sitting on the small leather couch with Andy, was Juliet.

I kept my composure as best I could.

“We need to talk.” I whispered, staring right at Andy. I tried to pretend Juliet was never even there as she gave Andy a hug and walked out of the door past me.
