Just a game with friends. What can go wrong? :)

You listened to the ticking sound of the ancient grandfather clock that stood tall on the other side of the living you were sitting at, watching how the pendulum bob swayed from side to side as if it was trying to hypnotize you, blocking the sounds of chatter and laughter that came from your friends. As much as you try to break from the trance, you always find yourself looking back at the clock - the clock looking as if it was smiling at you with the hour hand on the ten and the minute hand on the two. Luckily your attention was brought back when you heard shuffling next to you, making you turn to see one of your friends standing up

You attentively watched as Minx stood up from the ground you and your friends were sitting at, watching as she slowly began to walk towards the closet located on the other side of the living room - next to the grandfather clock. No one dared to question Minx on what she was doing, everyone quietly watching, waiting to see what the chaotic maiden would do next.

"Want to play a game?" Asks Minx as she takes out boxes of board games out of the living room closet, carelessly throwing them into the ground.

"Oh! We could play Candy Land!" Jack says as he picks up a box and shakes it "I heard that it's a fun game"

"No, I don't like that game" Niki says as she searches through the piles of games "but I do like this one"

"What no! That's one boring!" Jack argues

Niki gasps "No it's not! You just suck at it! That's why you don't want to play it"

"What about this one?" You say as you point at a random board game box in hopes that it would stop your friends from starting an argument.

Both Jack and Niki turn to face the box you pointed, looking back at each other while scrunching up their noses.

"That game also sucks" Jack says as he turns to face you "do you even have any good games, Minx?"

"What the fuck? Did you just call my games bad?" Minx says as she stops searching for who knows what in the closet, turning around with a frown

You quietly laughed at yourself as Jack and Minx argued, their arguments being so random yet funny at the same time.

"Where back!" You hear a familiar voice scream from the front door, the sounds of footsteps coming closer to living room "I brought pizza like I promised"

You smile as the smell of pizza lingers in your nose, feeling your stomach growl as your mouth waters. You watched as Wilbur placed the pizza on the coffee table in the middle of the living room, bouncing your feet as you were getting impatient as you wanted to feed the beast inside you. You haven't eaten anything all day since college had you busy with midterms - studying, taking tests, going to another class, taking another test, repeat. It was hell, but it was now the end of the day, the start of your two week winter break - and why not celebrate with your friends with a pizza party.
